The hotel does have a shuttle which will take you to and from our office. It will also take you around Chapel Hill if you wish to go to dinner or just sight see. We took a shuttle from the hotel to CHTRC and then again back to the hotel after the procedure. No worries there - the licensed driver part is if you are driving to and from CH - not flying... I live in GA so we drove... My daughter drove me home - she has the same type of restrictive license - she can only drive if I am in the front seat with her. You will be groggy and may not remember everything they tell you. If you are talking about how to get back to the hotel after surgery, you can take the shuttle to and from CHTRC. If you are talking about from the airport, they suggest a lady that can get you from the airport to the hotel. We drove but took the shuttle to and from CHTRC the day of my surgery. HTH! My DH is over 18yrs of age but he doesnt have driver's license he has a driving permit which he can drive while a licensed driver is in the car but we don't plan on renting a car during our trip, does that pertain to people who are driving to Chapel Hill?
