no problem getting pregnant pre-TL and never had a MC. TR almost 2 yrs ago and no BFP. Most that end up with a TL is because they were so fertile at the time.

I have had 2 chemical pregnancies through IVF cycles, both lost before the heartbeat was even detected. I have no idea why this happens....but it definitely has worried me about moving on to TR as I don't want to continue to be devastated over and over again. The pain of not having that child you yearn for is tough....but the pain of losing one (or more) is worse for me....so I'm still trying to make my decision about TR.

I was a walking Fertile Baby Maker. I have 5 children; twins, single, twins (lost one), single. No MC. Never had any problems with AF. I am about to have my second AF since TR, hopefully it won't come, so we shall see. BUT, I am also over 40 so it may take some time and it may not happen at all.

bpmommyof5--There is no easy answer to your question of how hard or easy it is to get pregnant after TR. The best thing you can due is review the Pregnancy Statistics that Dr. Berger has collected. I hope this will help you. Sally,RN

I actually had a easy time getting pregnant before the TL and now after the TR. I had 2 pregnancies before the TL which are now 6 and 8. After the TR I got pregnant the first month of TTC and it ended up ectopic. Right after my Laproscopy surgery was suspose to wait 3 months but the first month got a BFP but it just ended in miscarriage. So now I am definetly going to try to wait my 3 months before TTC again. Good Luck to you sweetie.

No trouble before TR at all. I had my son at 23 and my oldest daughter at 28. My son was a surpise, and my oldest dd took about 6 months of half-hearted ttc. I had one miscarriage before TR.
I took us a year after TR, with one miscarriage and one chemical pg. I was 36 years old. I can't say I had a tough time - I had no medical issues - it just simply took more time than I thought it would, but within normal range for my age group.
I don't think the difficulties we have are any different that other ladies our age that have had no tubal surgury at all. We are older, our dh's are older and we are all under a great deal of stress ttc. Biologicially, things also change that make ttc tougher. Cysts, PCOS, lack of cm, cycle changes plus things like less energy or less sex drive with busy family lives.
Remember too that the miscarriage rate goes up significantly after 35 as well, which explains a great number of losses we experience here and elsewhere.

bpmommyof5, that is like many women on here. I have had four sons and one miscarriage (due to illness), so 5 pregnancies in all before TL. We used to joke that my ex and I just "looked" at each other the right way and I got pregnant. I never really "tried" it just happened. Since TR I have been trying actively for over a year and nothing. Age has a lot of do with it, but the surgeries affect your tubes and fertility as well. It obviously does happen, as there are several pregnant women on here to attest to it. But just realize it may not be as easy as it once was! Good luck!

I didn't have any trouble getting pregnant before. Of course, I was 15 years younger. Out of 4 pregnancies I had 2 live births. Post TR we suffered 4 miscarriages and 1 ectopic pregnancy before getting pregnant with Lydia Grace. So, it was significantly harder for us to stay pregnant this time. However, I have since been diagnosed with PCOS which can make getting and staying pregnant harder.

I was wondering about the woman who have had miscarriages and/or difficulty getting pregnant after TR. My question is how easy or hard was it for you to get pregnant prior to the TL? Did you have any miscarriages prior to TL? I have had 5 pregnancy's with 4 births one miscarriage that i think now might have been a chemical one. I had gotten 2 positive test went to the DR 3 weeks later and I wasn't pregnant. I never had a problem getting pregnant before so I was hoping it wouldn't be much of a problem after TR. That's why i was wondering how things were for other woman on the board.
