Hi,
Just to give a perspective on the opposite side of things, I had heavy periods & cramps before the TR and I have them still, realistically, I think it's genetic at least in my case, my mom had heavy periods, so why wouldnt I? I would say that everyone is different, so it may help and it may not. I had my TR so I could have more children though, and not to get rid of things that I have always taken to be signs of my body getting older, so I wasnt looking for a cure for PTLS when I had my reversal.

Just my two cents...

Ladies! You all give those of us who have not had a TR so much hope! Thanks to all of you! I appreciate the support that I get each and every day from these boards! My hope and prayer is that I can also gain the positive outcome that you all have from my TR! I go in 2 weeks, exactly! I have never been so ready! Thanks for so much inspiration! I will keep all of you posted...especially those who have not had the TR...so you can see the benefits! [Wink]
Best wishes everyone, Emily

I had surgery a month ago and I check off more PTLS symptoms every day. I started feeling a big difference within a few days after surgery. I look forward to when they are all checked off, or at least all the big ones. [Smile] God Bless!

I had TL almost 5 years ago and within a year I began suffering adrenal exhaustion, terrible cramping, more frequent/severe migrains, and lots more. I choose to use natural medicine when I can and have a very good naturopathic doctor. Over the last 5 years that I've seen him he's tested my body functions as well as allergies and I've had candida, depleted adrenals, weak liver, extremely high estrogen, and the list goes on. I am happy to say that I just saw him today for the first time since TL 10 months ago. My body is functioning great! My liver and adrenals are fine, no candida, estrogen good... all I need to do is correct a low progesterone issue with some cream. I didn't know how bad I was feeling until I started feeling like me again! I thank God every day that I feel so good! Blessings to you in making your decision.

Hi Jessica it is nice to meet you. My name is Miranda and I had my TR 3-24-08. I am glad to say that my PTLS has gotten so much better. I had gotten to where I did not want to even leave my house. After the surgery even with some heavy cycles they have been better than before surgery. My hair had started falling out and now it is getting full again. I am on the go 24/7 now, lol. Not all running I want to do but I am able to keep up with it all and do it all. I am in college doing summer classes, work for the church, help a teacher at the local school, do my families needs and pick up a thousand things in between. I love being me again. I Praise God for the change to live again and in his time to have another little one. I wish you all the best. Miranda
My tubes are R-3.0 & L-2.5

We've heard from many people that their PTLS symptoms did in fact decrease after their Tubal Reversal. Please do check out the blogs and let us know if we can answer any questions. Best of luck. [CHTRC]

Reading these boards have really helped me feel more comfortable with going forward with a tubal reversal. It seems to me that my PTLS is getting worse, and I have had enough of it. I am so glad that the ladies on here have found relief from PTLS after having tubal reversal [Smile]

Jessica,
Dr Monteith has written many blogs on this topic and they are all excellent. Let me refer you to the one titled Momzilla. You will see her posts on this message board under the same name. I hope her story will give you some insight.

Strange symptoms began to appear within 3 months of my TL in '01. I was told it was perimenopause and did natural hormone replacement therapy and supplements. It helped a little but I got tired of taking pills and using the cream. So I stopped. My mood swings were crazy, ranging from crying to anger in a matter of moment, 0 to -100 on the libido scale, "don't touch me" was an all too familiar saying. In my mind I wanted my DH to touch me and sometimes I wanted to be intimate, but when it came down to the actual feeling of his hand on my skin it made me cringe! (My poor, blessed, patient, DH).

I had TR on 5/13/09 and I am amazed at how wonderful I feel! I had been doing research on perimenopause when I learned about PTLS, began to research that, and found Dr. B/CHTLC. I am so glad that we made the decision to have TR. I actually have a libido again. I actually WANT to BD, and that is so foreign to us. I had one anger spell, last week, however I was able to identify it within 20 minutes and get rid of it! THAT was amazing.

So to answer your question...TR seems to have made a change for me. Many women seem to be experiencing positive outcomes regarding PTLS. It is definitley worth looking into, for your own sanity and that of your DH.

I suffered from PTLS for 2 years. I just had my TR a week and half ago...and you wouldn't believe the difference it has made already.
I had my TR for PTLS...I don't plan on having anymore children...but it is worth having a TR even if just for the purpose of getting back to normal.

I didn't realize that there was a name for the miserable two weeks I had prior to AF arrival. Now, AF comes, and I have no clue of her impending arrival. I do not miss the hives and blood boiling feeling I used to get.
