I noticed from another one of your posts that u have PTLS. Among the other reasons to go to CHTRC, I chose it because they are the only center performing a study on patients with PTLS. This study may one day help OB/GYNs to have a different view of PTLS...I am thankful to be able to be a part of a study that may help other women in the future to not have to go though what we have had to go through with PTLS.

Thanks ladies for your input, the more I look into other places the more I am thinking CHTRC is the best place. I am waiting to hear about my medical report now and just might be setting it all up soon I hope. Thanks!

one of the main reasons i chose CHTRC is because it came highly recommended....i met someone in an aol chat room who i have spoken to for the last 5 yrs and she had a TR done 5 or 6 yrs ago and even tho she didnt get pregnant her tubes are still open so it was a success she just had other fertility issues...she couldnt speak well enough about dr b and the staff here and since i had my TR on 3/31/09 i echo her comments...this place is awesome and Dr Berger & Monteith are the most well trained, compassionate Drs i have ever met

I agree with everyone else. I had originally scheduled to have a TR with an RE in Iowa that performed them every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. I was not comfortable with that infrequency, along with the fact he pushed IVF from the get go and I'm only 34. His fee was $6600. Our grand total coming to CHTRC was just under $6600 .. and that included flight, hotel, rental car, surgery, we ate at nice restaurants, went to the beach .. but even more important, I was in the best hands. I truly hope you find a way to come to CHTRC. You won't regret a minute of it ..

Chapel Hill will be the place for my reversal. Why? Because my doctor who performs reversals suggested Chapel Hill because they have a higher success rate and the price would be less than if I had it done right here at home.
I did check a couple other places just to satisfy my curiousity and they would end up being much more expensive when you figure in all of the extra fees that they don't include in the initial price. That was even for a local place here in Wisconsin.

Jess, I researched several options before I decided to go with CHTRC. I chose CHTRC because this is their expertise and have a lot of years behind them. I felt that if I was going to spend the money to have TR that I wanted the best for success and I believe I made the right choice. My stay was very short and I have never been treated so well by a group in individuals that completely understood what I was going through and what I wanted. I had my TR 4/13/2009 and don't regret one minute of it; Dh and I are currently on our 2nd month TTC. I live in Seattle; after the cost of TR, hotel, flight and a couple extra 100 dollars I think it was a grand total of $7100.00. HTH and GL
