Hi there! I had 2 c/s before my TR and am getting ready to have my 2nd TR baby who will also be a c/s...my 4th! I asked my Dr how many she thought I could have (GA doesn't really allow VBACS after 2 c/s) and she said that she knows I know all the risks and therefore I can have as many as I would like (with the notation that everything looked great at my last c/s)! She said she is fully supportive of our big family and our want of having many more babies. So at this point we have been given the go ahead.
Each woman is different and I agree with the other ladies, if your records don't state anything concerning then you will be just fine!
I know women that have had 9+ c/s and have been given the go ahead for more!

Hi! I had two C-sections before my reversal and one after. My dr says at this point I can have many C-sections. The number of C-sections that you can have depends on your body, scar tissue and your Doctor. Just so know, TR is a breeze if you have had C-sections! Best of luck.

Your dr said your uterus will rupture? Wow! I hope that is based on exact case specific info about you, and not just some worse case scenario to keep you from having more kids! Many OB's would prefer women to have 2 pregnancies/deliveries at least 12 months apart, and before the age of 35 to eliminate risk, LOL!
My 3rd and 4th were c-sections and my 5th (tr baby) was VBA2C. I plan on having any future babies as VBAC's, but if I can't, then they'll be c-sections!
Lots of gals here have had several sections and get pregnant. As far as personal stories, I know several women who are no bc women who have had well over 5 sections.
As Anita said, if it is about YOU in regard to uterine thinning, which is a potential risk of repeat sections, then you have other considerations to make.

Is your doctor basing this opinion on the fact that you are considering TR, or were you told with your last c-section that there had been damage to the uterus from pregnancies and surgery? He may just be trying to scare you out of having the TR, which always amazes me, but you definately need to find out if you do have thinning of the uterus or something else that would contraindicate another pregnancy. Some women have had multiple c-sections and no problems. For others though, it is too risky to have another child.

Hello, I have had 3 c-section's! I sent my operative and pathology reports in and they said i would be a great canidate for TR. My doctor never said anythin to me about how many c-section's i could have. My cousin had 4 c-section's. Their are plenty of ladies that have had 3+ c-section's and had a TR and have had healthy pregnancy's. I would just consult a different doctor have them look over you and your records plus send your pathology and operative report to a TR doctor and have them reviewed then go from there. But in my opinion i say you would do just fine. I have not had my TR yet but am the beginning of the year! Wish you the best of luck and take care!
