What is the benefit of having the lap done? I think that is what I had been confused about and previously asked everyone about the vaginal ultrasound...did anyone opt for the lap? Thanks again, Emily

You guys are all wonderful, too! I am so eager to see and feel results after the TR! Thanks for the difference you are making as I get closer to the TR! 2 1/2 weeks...and counting! I am still very regretful for having the TL but also very hopeful that the research being done by CH will someday make a HUGE difference for women when faced with the decision to have a TL. Thanks again, everyone! Emily

I had my TR a month ago. I suffered from SEVERE PTLS. Within days I started to notice a difference in my symptoms. The ultrasound is easy. The nurses are all so wonderful. They all go above and beyond the call of duty to make you as comfortable as possible and are so sweet in doing so. I was so scared about the IV, so they got the Nurse Anethesiologist to do it so they were sure I would only have to get poked once. That was the easiest IV ever! During my consult the anethesiologist was running really late so we all had to wait for quite a while. One of the nurses came out and checked to see what we all wanted to drink and brought us all drinks. They were wonderful!!! God Bless!

They did the vaginal ultrasound at my consultation. It is no big deal. They did one when I was carrying my babies too. I wish you all the best on your surgery. I had my TR on 3-24-08 and feel so much better from it. I hope you have the same out come from yours as I did from mine. Miranda

Hi Hopenow,

The vaginal ultrasound is actually a required part of our consultation process. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns about this.

Thank you,

Hi everyone! New here to the message board and so taken back by all of the support and inspiration. I am having my TR on 7-8-09 after 18 mos of the slow fade from the TL to relieve the PTLS. I am hoping this is the answer. I have a question for all of you who have had the TR. Did you guys have a vaginal ultrasound prior to your TR? This appeared to be elective...and I am wondering if I should go ahead with it....Thanks for all of you who continue to inspire me daily. I am so impressed with this community of support and the opportunity to hopefully feel like my old self again!
