Thanks HeWants2BeADaddy!!! I am rooting for you! I go in 2 weeks and am sure you can identify with the long wait...it feels like it has been months since I scheduled! We just want to feel like ourselves again and you ladies on here keep it real in being able to provide the emotional and mental support when those around us cannot understand! Thanks! I wish you only the best of outcomes with your TR! Keep in touch with your results! Look forward to sharing mine! Take care, Emily

Thanks a bunch! I think the fact that so many ladies on here have had such a great success with the TR and the outcome afterward is proof that we are spending our money wisely! I have noticed that most describe the surgery as "worth every penny" and that is so inspiring! Makes me more optimistic Good luck with your TR HeWants2BeADaddy!!!!! I am rooting for you! Emily

My TR is set for 8-3-09 and I opted not to do the lap, I guess the obvious reason for it would to save money in the long run, but it was my understanding all along that it is very rare that they are unable to perform the TR, so I like you figured I had spent enough.
Besides this entire endeavor is a gamble, but not to take light, I have a lot of faith in this entire process, and hope the best for us all.

Has anyone out there opted for the optional lap procedure that CH offers prior to the TR? I have spent so much on the TR scheduled for early July '09 and can't justify another cost. What is the benefit of the lap procedure? Did anyone not do it and why? What are the risks if you decide not to do it? I am having the TR specifically for PTLS and do not desire anymore pregnancies. I did not know if that was a factor. I have great tube lengths and just had the TL completed about 18 mos ago. So, I don't think that I have a great deal of scar tissue at this point. Thanks to all of you out there! Emily
