One year after TL I started body building. I worked out with weights 6 days a week, alternating days with upper body and lower body, then I would also do 30-60 minutes of cardio and 15 min stretching. I was in awesome shape . . . but . . . look at how hard I had to work for it. I stopped, due to surgery, and never went back. I just couldn't get up the gumption to do it again, so without a rigorous routine my metabolism was real slow. I hit 186 at 5'3" and taking it off is very slow, IF I stick to my Weight Watchers Plan. I try to walk daily and use our Wii Fit, but if I don't I gain VERY easily. It has only been about 6 weeks post TR and I do feel like I have more energy. I didn't have a "stay-in-bed-all-day" prior to this AF, which I usually have one. I notice that I am not voraciously hungry during O or PMS, which I used to be. More time will tell how successful my TR is for me. There may be some similarities between each woman post TR, but we will all have different areas of success also.

I noticed that. My metabolism was like nothing after TL, after 3 years I finally lost the rest of the baby weight, and then some. After TR I am hungry all the time, but that is not a good thing. Now I am afraid that I am not going to loose to what I was before TR. Oh well, if I get pregnant I will never be a size 6 again. At least I enjoyed it for 5 months. LOL Heather

Did anyone notice a slowed metabolism after their TL? Difficulty losing baby weight, etc? What about metabolism after TR? Does it improve due to normal hormonal flow being restored? Curious! Let me know what you all have experienced! Here's to relief from PTLS for all of us who have not had a TR yet! I am counting down 2 weeks! I will keep you posted!
