cdb-I hope that I can be at least one testament to reassure you that you are in excellent, caring, and compassionate hands! I just had my TR on 7-8-09. I, too, had a range of emotions (tears, fear, excitement, etc.). I cannot tell you how reassuring it was to finally get there and meet the staff, Dr's, and have the procedure. You are in for a wonderful experience, I can assure you of that! The experience of being a part of CHTRC is undescribable and the impact that the staff have is powerful! Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you come closer to your journey with TR! I am still in awe of what I have just gone through and would not change a thing! I am sure that your experience will be a very positive and successful one, too!

cdb it is nice to meet you. My name is Miranda and I had my TR on 3/24/08. I test long enough to figure out my cycles and when I Oed. For some months now I have not tested anything. I wish you all the best on your big day. Hang in there. I was so excited the day of my surgery, it was like Christmas. Miranda
Hopefully, you won't have to do all the monitoring. Just wait and take it one cycle at a time. Give it a few months, and if no BFP then choose one of the many madnesses to start with, like OPKing. Do that for a month or two, and add the others as you feel necessary. Try not to become consumed by it all, which is hard. Hopefully, you will not need to do everything. Just remember that it can take a "healthy" (read did not have TL or TR) woman up to a year to become pregnant.

cdb, I know you are very excited about your TR, your date is right around the corner!
I had my surgery on June 4th and I knew nothing but the basics when I joined the message board, and I am still learning and learning and learning. This is a good place to learn alot, that is for sure.

I'm so excited! My name is Neva, and I am going to have TR on 8/3/09 too!!!! I have already made contact with another woman who will be there on that same day too. We have been corresponding for some time now, and we even have plans for dinner the night before our TR.
You sound just like me... nervous, excited, and worried about wether or not I will get a BFP without all of this temping, charting, and ovulation kits everybody keeps talking about. I have jumped on the band wagon though, and purchased my first ovulation predictor just so I know which days to BD as much as possible.
All we can do is try..... ultimately it isn't up to us, and I tend to believe that God knows what is best for me, even if it isn't what I want it to be. I just trust in his plans for me....... what ever they are.
I know I'm writing a book here, but there are a couple of threads you should look at.
You find out more about me, and our other TR sister bpmommyof4 (Beverly) on the thread HeWants2BeADaddy, and fill free to jump in, we would both love to know more about you.
You can also get into the TR countdown on the thread Waiting Room 20, just post your Tr date and you will be added to the list.
I do however understand that you may be a more private person than Beverly, or myself so as much as we would love to get to you know you, we are all entitled to our privacy.

It is completely normal to be nervous before any surgery. Please rest assured that everyone at the center will do all they can to answer your questions and help you to feel comfortable and relaxed! All of the information you've come in contact with can be overwhelming but if you focus on the "What to expect..." information you'll be well prepared for your day of surgery. We look forward to meeting you!

My surgery is scheduled for 08/03/2009. I honestly don't know what half the things posted on the message board mean. I thought I had done a lot of research but I obviously have not. I am confused about all of the monitoring and what everything means. In my ignorance I just thought I would have the surgery and try to get pg. Right now I am stuck in that all consuming anxiety. Worrying about everything that can go wrong. All of the "What ifs." Anyone else have the surgery coming up?
