I had my PTLS symptoms for several months after TR. Now I am mostly symptom free, but that is nearly 4 years later.
Maybe, and this is not to discount your feelings at all, it's just a thought, maybe your excitement at having the surgery has "worn off" and your hormones are still adjusting. Give it a couple more months and see where you stand then. I certainly hope your PTLS never comes back.

Rebecca~ I like your attitude, very positive. Considering that you had 20+ symptoms and are now experiencing two, it very well could be from something else. And stress can wreak havoc on our poor bodies. Definitely see your physician and see what is going on. Just remember that many do not believe PTLS is an actual problem, many think it is hormones, stress, perimenopause, and whatever else.
I wish you the best and do update us with results/an answer from your doctor.

thanks for replying...yes, definately tons of stress right now, but theres been stressful times in the last several months as well, but with no symptoms, so I don't know if thats the cause ?? Thanks momzilla for the input, something to think about. And, I'm sorry to hear Amber that your symptoms are coming back, how disapointing. I have to keep telling myself though, that I had 20+ symptoms and these are only 2 resurfacing so far. I think I will go get a physical/blood work, who knows whats going on! Take care ladies, keep in touch.

I don't have an answer since I just had my TR in June, but I would like for you to keep us posted on how things continue to go for you (incase I every have a similar experience). I have been enjoying PTLS getting better and better...I hope it stays that way.

Rebecca, Have you been under more stress than usual? My body reacts VERY BADLY to stress and stress can take its toll on your body in many ways. I cannot say that my symptoms have returned but as I am 44 I do notice that my hormones and cycles are changing as I age. I assume you were tested for other conditions prior to TL and ruled out anything else causing your dizziness?? I used to get dizzy too but only when I arose from a crouching position. I would get light-headed. My md thgouth it might be my low blood pressure but I have always had low blood pressure and I never got that way until after TL and it is gone now. I asked Dr. B. way back when if PTLS might return if tubes got blocked but he said he really did not have an answer on that one (I assume because he does not have specific data on that)..If I were you I would have a complete physical and blood work to make sure nothing else is going on. I have not seen anyone post here about their PTLS symptoms returning. Before TR I had a physical, many gyn tests, neuro exam and tests, etc. to rule out anything else. If you are also TTC, it has been 6 months and you could ask your ob-gyn for an hsg if you want to see if your tubes are still open (despite not having any concrete data on closure bringing back PTLS..it might give you peace of mind!) Let us know you things go and I hope you feel better.

Hi there, I had my TR 12/08 and almost immediately felt my symptoms going away, just about every single one disappeared within a few months. I was sooo excited! I wrote on this blog for awhile and then went on with normal life. Well, last month I began having a few symptoms like prior to my TR. The most disturbing one are the dizzy spells. After my TL I had increasing dizzy spells which interfered with daily life, to the point I did not feel safe driving. The dizziness is quickly getting worse again as well as the heart palpitations (and yes, prior to my decision to get a TR I went to heart specialist who said my heart/blood pressure are great, so its not that kind of problem). So, I guess my questions are: has anyone felt a return of a symptom after the inital TR relief? It has crossed my mind that maybe my tubes are blocked, I vaguely remember reading about that in past blogs. Any thoughts on this would be super helpful. I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
