Many women have described symptoms similiar to yours and have had relief from PTLS after tubal reversal surgery. There is no guarantee that these symptoms will go away, but again many patients have experienced some relief.
Please call us if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you soon!
My DH and I specifically moved forward with a TR for the purpose of ttc at 31 & 32. What is absolutely amazing is the relief from PTLS. My OBGYN is very familiar with the syndrome and continues to rave about the results from PTLS CH offers. After TR as many of you have revealed; I have a much lighter monthly flow, am less moody, have more energy, have clearer skin, near elimination of unknown anxiety, have no symptoms of depression, and my sex drive has increased drastically!!!
I had actually learned to live with PTLS. I will never forget one morning when my husband woke up; he was alarmed and concerned that something was wrong with him because he was covered in blood. Once he discoverd it was not him and actually another one of my heavy flows; he became very empathetic and supportive. After TR I have zero symptoms and better still; have a chance of having a baby!

I would like to say way to go on helping your friend have children also. I told one person I would do that for her but she decided not to. I had my TL in 2003 and it was 2 months after that I realized that I did the wrong thing as far as my body went. I had pains in places I never know I had, moody, depressed, hated people around, wanted things dark, would get up with pillow covered in hair, and on and on. I am pleased to say that after the TR things have improved greatly. I have my life back and I can live in to the fullest. I wish you all the best as you move to your TR. It was the thing I needed. The doctor ran test after test and all he could say was it started after the TL, it was the only thing new I had done. Hang in there.Miranda

It took my 3 years to accumulate about 22 symptoms of PTLS and then 12 weeks post TR to lost them them...good luck with the birth and your own re-birth through TR.. It is miserable living with PTLS and amazing when you wake up for the first time and realize any one symptom is gone!

First off...Kudos to you for carrying children for someone else!! Secondly...I am also 27 & after my 3rd child we decided to go with a TL. Every since the day it was done I regretted it but my symptoms of PTLS are exactly like yours. I go through a super pad & super tampon every 15 minutes for the first 3 days of my period & I cant hardly get out of bed. I too clot badly & there are days where my DH thinks I am fixing to show my devil horns! LOL! Just know that you are not alone out there & let me know if you need anything! Jaima (OK)

Hi, I am a 27 year old woman with 3 bio children and 2 step children. I was a young mom and after my baby (now 6 years old) was born I had my TL. at this point me and my husband knew we did not need any more children. After my TL I stoped producing milk and started gaining weight, my periods were very light and did not come every month. I was irritable and moody and always stressed out with my children. I chalked all of this up to now having 3 kids and more responsiblitly I was only 21 and had no idea that this was not normal.
at age 25 I decided that I would be a gestational carrier for a good friend. I got pregnant and carried the baby to term. after giving birth I had very heavy bleeding and the blood was brown not red. the nurse said that was "old blood" and I needed to go to the bathroom more. the bleeding continued for 6 months and finaly my dr. decided to do a d and c. this helped, but ever since my periods have been heavy, so heavy that my husband has said that I look like a gun shot victom in the morning- It has ruined a mattress and I can not work during the heavy days. I also clot so bad that it clogs the toilet.
other symptoms include: hair loss, issolation, depression, cramping, acne. the list goes on.
I have decided to get a TR in hopes it helps. My husband is supportive, but does not want any more kids. I am preganat again (for my friend) but as soon as the baby is born I will schedule the suregery. here is hoping it works!!
