Interesting...I dont have major hair loss but I am always shedding. There are so many things that I had not realized that started after TL. I feel like I'm playing a game of connect the dots!

I didn't have hair loss, but I did have really bad breakage. I didn't even realize this was associated with the PTLS until after I had the TR. I always had shiny pretty hair, but after TL my hair started breaking really bad...I had to keep cutting it shorter and shorter and it became very dry and dull. I am 4 months post TR and my hair is totally back to normal! Just another perk of TR!!

I have had lots of hair loss, just like these other ladies are saying; hair all over the shower and the sink and floor. I didn't really have any other severe symptoms of PTLS, so I thought it was unrelated. I started taking more iron because I read of a link between iron-deficieny and hair-loss in women, but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
Right as I began looking into TR, a quarter-sized patch of hair just disappeared from my head! I wasn't stressed... I don't know what else could have caused it. I was able to hide it while it grew back, but it scared me a little.
I just had my TR, and I am hoping that my hair will stop thinning so much. It was already thin and fine to begin with. [Frown]

You guys, thank you so much for your input. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I thought I was going crazy at first - just another of the many 'symptoms' or issues I have been having. But for some reason this one is really difficult to deal with. I got my haircut today and my hairdresser couldn't believe how much I had lost. Thank you again!

Maybe I should try that too to keep my hair stronger after those years of bad breakage! I cut it to my shoulders because it got so annoying!

So sorry to hear about your hair loss. Ask your doctor if Biotin is a vitaman that he would recommend for you. It usually works well for hair and nails. Good luck!

Boy I did that was the one that just got to me. The lady that did my hair could not believe how much came out when she fixed it. I would run my hands through my hair so easy and when I looked at it there was hair. It looked like some times if I had just cleaned out my hair brush. After my TR it got so much better. I always had a full head of hair and I am pleased to say it is like that again. Hang in there. I hope you are able to get your TR. Miranda

Yeah, it was more annoying than anything else, but it was just another one of like 22 things in my body going completely haywire from TL..

I was not losing clumps of hair or anything but my hair and nails were constantly breaking..I mean, like, I would comb or brush it and lots of broken hair would be in the sink. It stopped after TR..

I have hair loss- just got my hair cut and had to do bangs so that it was not as noticable. I wonder if the damage that is done will be reversed after TR? I sure hope so!

I know that I have ptls and have been dealing with it the best I can until I can afford the TR. But has anyone out there had hair loss issues associated with their PTLS? And if so, do you have any advice? It has been hard enough dealing with everything else but this has really put me over the edge. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!
