It took about three months for most of my symptoms to go away post TR. I was 43 when I had it done and it was done solely for PTLS and not to have any more kids (I have three ages 9,6, and 4). I had about 22 different PTLS symptoms. I will take 12 weeks of healing after three years of PTLS hell any day.

Chooks~
I had TR May this year. I noticed a difference with my very first cycle. I mostly suffered with "Extreme" PMS, Mood Swings, sharp stabbing pain at O, heavy CD2-4 w/clots, and absolutely little to nil libido. I have NONE of these symptoms at all anymore! (Thanks be to God for leading me on the path of TR @ CHTRC)!

I totally understand DH not being able to live w/you, or YOU being able to live w/you. It's like you know you shouldn't act a certain way, but yet you have no control over it. The ups and downs are too much. Scary.

After 3 years of research we made the decision to have TR and we do not regret it at all! It was worth every hardship we encountered on the journey, especially my flight home (which was a nightmare, ugh).

Best to you,
Denise-45

Hi, I desperately need help and guidance. I had TL after my twins 3 years ago. I have to say that it was the biggest mistake of my life. I am now dealing with depression, severe PMS, and heavy bleeding. My husband is having a hard time living with me and I am having a hard time living with me. I want to know if tubal reversal really helped with the above symptoms.

Hello Newbie1178, Have you seen this PTLS video:

Erin K, a tubal reversal patient, explains the symptoms she experienced while suffering from Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome (PTLS). After having tubal reversal surgery her symptoms were relieved. Although numerous women suffer from adverse symptoms after having a tubal ligation, many physicians do not believe PTLS exists. In an onging study of over 300 patients reporting Post Tubal Ligation symptoms more than 90% have found relief after tubal reversal at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.

It is nice to meet you. I had my TL in 03. I faced many if not all the things you talked about after having it done. I was able to get my TR on 3/24/08 at the age of 27. I am glad I did it because I feel like myself again. My cycles have improved. I wish you all the best. I used my tax money and then some the year I went for TR. Hang in there and I hope to hear about you setting your big day. Miranda

Well ladies like you all I made a decision to have a TL 2 years ago after the C/S birth of my twins from looking at my medical records I had the Parkland BTL.

Okay ladies I had the TL at age 29 so very young definitely not in no prementopause stage with all of these PTLS symptoms I am experiencing now. I before having this TL were a marathon runner, very active, had noPMS, no migraines like now, no irregular cycles, no dizzy spells, no moody spells, no pain ovulating, no problems remembering things, no weight gain around the waist and thighs, no depression I mean these things are just too much for me its has taken a affect on my marriage my poor husband has no clue how to really help me because he can not the only thing is having I believe is the TR which he is going to give me the money tax time this year so hopefully in February 2010 will be at what I believe to be the best TR place in the world done my research the last year.

I have not got a exact date yet but its coming will keep you guys updated when I do have a exact date.I tried to keep the post not too long and give you just a small summary because believe me I could write pages of how this TL has affected my life and I cannot wait to the day when I can wake up after my surgery and be on my way to another person I cannot hardly wait to meet what I have perceived to be a amazing staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal center God Bless you all
