I'll definitely post how it goes with the new meds though hopefully I won't need to try them any time soon! BTW, the migraine meds generally don't cause a drugged feeling - it's the pain meds (i.e., demoral, vicodin, etc) that cause me to feel totally drugged out.

I think I had my first migraine after my TL. But it seems that extreme stress causes mine and maybe allergies. I dont get them often. If you talk to your doctor, they can prescribe something for you. I know what the doctor gave me really worked well and did not make me drowsy. Tylenol and Advil wouldnt work at all for me.

Jenn when you try them I would love to know how they work. I tried things the doctor gave but they made me feel drugged and all. I can not stand that feeling. Miranda

I get migraines and have since I was 10 years old. My regular doctor recommended a new medication that dissolves under the tongue - I haven't tried it yet since I haven't had one since filling the prescription. I would definitely suggest seeing your doctor and getting something for them.

Newbie1178,

I would recommend going to your local physician to see what he/she recommends for your migraines.

I had very bad ones. I tried Excedrin for migraines but mostly I used ibuprofen. Some were so bad I had to lay in the darkest room with my head under the pillow. I also found out that if I tied a bandanna around my head. For some reason the pressure on my head from it helped. Hope this helps. Miranda
