The other thing you can do if it's an option to you or your spouse is use your flex plan through work - normally the limit is like $3,000 per year, but that's a good chunk of the surgery! And it reduces your taxable income for the year. Just call to make sure they'll cover it - ours didn't even question it. Oh, and make sure none of your older kids need braces the same year - we had an "oops" moment the other day. :-) HTH & good luck!

Capital One has a separate service for financing medical procedures. I don't know if they would do it for a TR but I used them for my Lasik in March. The interest rate is decent as far as financing goes. Just a thought...

I know this decision is devastating. However, I hope that everyone understands that it is in the best interest of our patients. CHTRC is not interested in increasing the cost to patients in order to participate with a finance company. Our goal is to provide the best care at the best price.

I did that before MedChoice and I guess since loaning is such a big issue in the world right now I couldn't get approved for as much as I could with MedChoice.

Oh no, I'm devastated. I need the reversal done really soon and it would take me way too long to save for it. My only option was the financing. It looks like I am gonna have to use the facility in Georgia and that really disappoints me.

After careful review and much consideration, it has been decided that we will not resume participation with MedChoice.
The prepayment account is an excellent alternative. This account is monitored by CHTRC and is interst free! Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like additional information.
