Mesha, as you can tell everyone's experience is different. Some women like to use ice and get good relief using an ice pack. Make sure you are rotating it on and off every 15 minutes. Taking some Ibuprofen regularly can also be helpful. Give us a call if you are not getting better.

I was taking full time classes in college when I had mine. It was a holiday time so I had a week off. After that week I thought I would be running, wrong. I still had my husband or mom take my to class so they could carry my book bag for me for 2 weeks. I say for me it was over a month out before I was back to where I was before the surgery. Wearing button up pants again was great. Hang in there. I have noted that ladies who's cut was smaller than mine have jumped back faster. Miranda

I stayed home from work for a week. I rested often. I got up and walked 15 minutes every hour I was awake. The walking really helped. I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself.

I found that if I stayed up too long or did too much it increased my discomfort that afternoon or night. Since you are only on Day 4 of recovery, I would say, your expected a lot to be pain free...but it's coming. I had more issues with gas and bloating than with pain, but as everyone else stated, everyone heals at different times:)
As previously stated...give yourself time. sometimes it's okay to be a little selfish and treat yourself to a nap or just a day of doing nothing:)

If you are being active, it may be an indication that you're doing too much. But, everything PPs said is true too. You just might need a little more time. Try to take it easy. It'll be better before long.

My pain got worse before it got better. Day 3 and 4 seeemed hard. And I recall being frustrated that it seemed to take me so long to get rid of the pain. Had I been working, I would have had to take off longer than I had anticipated. Like Tanya said, just take it easy as best as you can.

I recovered fairly quickly, but everyone is different. Don't push yourself and hopefully you'll be up to work in a few more days. To be fair, I was also a sah mom, so I didn't have a job to jump back into.
