GILLYARDHSG, I hope things work out for you and you are able to schedule soon! Check airfare websites daily and include nearby airports in your search - sometimes they'll drop prices just for a day. I'm not sure how far you'd be traveling from, but check on other options - train, bus, or rent a mini-van & drive so you have room to stretch out & sleep on a long ride home. Just some suggestions.
Neysha - Congratulations on scheduling! Can't wait to hear your updates.

Hello all! I am 28, I had my tubal ligation on Dec 6th 2006 and my TR is scheduled for June 3rd. I am VERY excited. I will keep in touch and let everyone know how it goes. Despite the average, We're aiming for a July pregnancy and I think that God will give it to us!

GILLYARDHSG... It is cheaper to fly on certain days of the week...also, we used Janice from Red Carpet Coach to go to and from airport. Much cheaper to do that then rent a vehicle. We didn't have the extra money either! The shuttle from the hotel takes you anywhere in a 5 mile radius for free...and takes you back and forth to CHTRC. HTH... Shannon

Hi Tonya! Our situations do look similar. I'll be really excited to hear what you think of Dr. M when you go in July since I'm scheduled with him too.
Can't wait to see updates from nwinston and ourblessings this week!

Hello everyone, some of you may be familiar with my loggin name. I was haven't been able to log on as much as I use to with the kids, work and all the wifey duties that has been calling me. lol. I am on today looking for some emotional support from some of you who I know understand how I may feel. I have been ringing the phones at CHTRC of the hook for the past few weeks. Congrats to you all who are sch. for june 11th, my wish date. If it isn't one thing it's another. Today I found out I was unable to sch as planned because of the funding for air fair or rental car expenses following the regular house bills. I am so discourage first my cat past after paying for $1200. for vet expenses in March. So my DH and I choose to take a mental break for awhile now this happen. I feel like there's someone out there has a cute little doll stinking needles in it cursing us with all this drama. Today I thought of giving up and saying may be I need to be content with the little ones I have. What is a lady to do ? Can anyone relate?

Miranda... Oh yes! It was confusing in the beginning! My husband and I also got custody of his 3 kids right away, plus my son, then we had our DD together. We figured at the time, 5 kids was enough...now 2 are out of the house, and we want MORE!! LOL XOXOX Shannon

Hi Ladies! Well, we made it! It's a beautiful day here in Chapel Hill! We had our pre-op today with everyone and they were all so nice! My husband and I were actually able to sit and talk with two other couples who are on the schedule for tomorrow as well. What a great time we had talking and sharing stories and experiences! I'll be sure to let everyone know how things went as soon as I'm able to get up and move about tomorrow.

Shannon, I am so glad you had such a good experience. That gives hope to all the worriers out there! I am not so much worried, but anxious!!!! I can't wait! My DH, who is very reserved, was rubbing my tummy this morning with a huge smile...He's so excited!
hunnyd, my heart goes out to you, with the DH who smokes. If he is thinking about quitting, there are so many resources out there, helplines, web-based sources, and new medications..I hope if he won't quit, he will at least realize the damage that secondhand smoke does to babies. It is linked to SIDS and chronic respiratory infection, and asthma...don't nag him, but do make sure he knows the risks! HTH

Hi Tonya... I am feeling very good!! We got home Saturday evening and my mom had a big birthday dinner/cake waiting for us! It was so nice! Just taking it easy...I'm not missing too much outside. Usually I spend most of my day outside doing things. It is only 41' here right now!! Breezy and COLD!! I am only taking ibuprofen a couple of times a day...usually morning when I get up and in the evening. AF is due today, but NO SIGNS!! I also skipped my OV this cycle!! My nerves got the best of me before surgery!! Now that I have been through it, I can tell you I worried for NOTHING!! We are going to wait until July to TTC. I am so excited!! It will be hard to wait 2 months!

Amanda - Welcome to the board, and congratulations to you!
Your story is very similar to mine. My DH has no children, and I have two. My surgery is scheduled for 7/21/2008 with Dr. Montieth. I'm so anxious and excited about it.
