Hello, I have been dieting, started on June 2nd, weighed in at 237, BMI of 34.0 (Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater). As of June 16th, I weighed in at 228. I am having amazing results & would like to share it with yall. You can check the site out at: www.FatLoss4Idiots.com I didn't think it would work because I had tried so many other things, but it is. It is kind of stricked, but for me that works the best. Well, just wanted to share my experiances. I know how hard it is to diet & if this helps anyone... then that is a very good thing. Take care, Christina

Lots of great discussion! Here's my 2 cents' worth- Yes, fad diets or "quick weight loss plans" can help you lose weight fast, but they are not healthy, and can wind up doing more damage than good.
I will agree, there is nothing that can beat old fashioned healthy eating and exercise! Darn it!!! And even as heavy as I am, I am very healthy, with no BP problems, or diabetes, or ANYTHING! And for many years, I just told myself not to worry about it because obviously I am just meant to be this way, but I'm still healthy. WRONG!! I did join weight watchers and learned so much!!! Even if I am currently healthy, increased weight means increased risk for problems.
I am not currently going to WW meetings, I don't want the expense. But if you have not gone before, and are able to afford it- I highly recommend Weight Watchers. I'm sure there are also other programs that are healthy, I just don't know about them.
What we HAVE to do, is learn how to select what foods we are going to eat, learn how to measure our portions, learn how to get off the couch and exercise! If you do any one of those it will help, but done in combination, you will see amazing results!
I was off the treadmill for 10 days, and got on the scale this morning to find 3 pounds are back! EEEK! So I did my 2 miles this morning, and will get back on tomorrow and next day and the next day and the day after that....
Nobody can do this for us- we each have to take responsibility and take care of our bodies! We couldn't possibly have a better motivation!!!

ok, I would really like to join your group here. I got on the scale this morning and I would really like to lose my last 20 pounds before it grows into 50! Here is my info: W: 151.4 and I want to be around 130 (atleast 135 or so by TR on July 24th) so that would put me at 16.4 pounds to lose! I'm ready to really do this. I'm starting Weight Watchers on my own today. I do not want to spend the money on meetings when I still have to put gas in my tank to get to NC and pay for the hotel yet. So, If you guys wouldn't mind letting me check in and post my loses every week, I'd really appreciate it. This way I will feel like I have to account for my weight to someone other than myself.
Traci- I would love to be your WW buddy!! I will send you an email today!

Not to Offend anyone here or anything,. but If you want to lose weight and become more healthy,.IF I were you, I would NOT go on any kind of "Quick Fix" Diet , I have found that the most simplest two things work better than any diet could ever work and that is Eating Properly/Healthy and Exercising, as long as you watch your portions and cut out all the junk and maybe do at least 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week you will see a BIG Difference in no time!!!... I just don't want to see any of you good people getting your hopes up and going on one of these diet just to crash and burn and put on even more weight in the end ... the Key to Weightoss is Moderation and Determination - In other words - a lifestyle change not just a diet. )

Hi, just my 2 cents here..........but if your wanting to lose weight in a healthy way and fast...... check out the Maker's diet by Jordin Rubin. It works and it works quickly, depending on how well you follow the plan........Organic food helps but you'll see great results with out it too. Just an idea. I like it because the 1st two weeks of the plan are designed to help balance hormones (among other things) & if your going to do TR -it helps to have everything running smoothly before you start ttc.
