Herbalife is available through independent distributors. I could refer you to a great coach. Email me directly at dmse4christ@embarqmail.com

I tried herbalife I found that they made me jittery and the smell and taste of the pills made me about gag everytime I had to take them. They did work to a point with me but as soon as I started not taking them the pounds came back on. I would love those recipes roy underscore jolene at yahoo dot com. Thanks for the help. I really am doing ok with exercising and eating heathly so any new recipes that are healthy and different than what we make now would be wonderful. I have around 30 pounds I would like to drop before my tr in the spring of 09. thanks so much.

I just want to encourage everyone on this board. I myself was overweight at the age of 9! I went though life as a young child obese and then because my life was out of control, I ended up having an eating disorder for three years. It was my way of controlling things. I praise God that I was able to get out of that eating disorder. Because I started eating again, I gained a lot of weight. When I got pregnant with my first child, I weighed 185 lbs. I did really good with that pregnancy, but still topped out at 211 lbs. I felt horrible. Long story short, a really good friend introduced me to Herbalife Nutrition Products. I was extremely skeptical at first, because nothing had worked in the past. But I thought, I'll give it a try...that way I know I've tried it. Well, to my surprise...I lost 10 pounds my first week! I thought it was a mistake...but the pounds kept coming off. There were periods of time that I did plateau, but I was told that was normal. I lost 54 lbs. in 5 months. Went from size 18 to a size 6. Went though another pregnancy, this time starting weight was 140 lbs! I used the same nutrition products that helped me get healthy and lose weight during this pregnancy. I gained the normal 35 lbs. I used these same Herbalife products to lose the baby weight. I'm happy to report that I lost that baby weight too!
This is what has worked for me...other programs have worked for other people. You need to find out what works for you and just stick with it. You can do it!

I have battled with my weight all of my life. When I graduated high school I was 5'8" and 165lbs. I was joining the Army and considered overweight. I went on a strict diet to get in. I maintain at weigh between 140-160 while in the service. After my first child my weight hit the 200's and I lost some - got to around 170-180 before having my second child. After him I hit 224 and was just sick about it. I went on a health kick and lost the weight and got back to 160s. Well along came baby number 3 and on came the pounds. It was a struggle but I dropped the weight once again and hit the 140s. Well I remarried and relocated close to my family. I once again packed on the weight and it topped out at 286 lbs. I realized that what I was doing to my body was not healthy and I couldn't continue in the direction I was headed. I decided to check into gastric bypass. Now I know that many feel it is an easy way out but believe me its not. I had a consult and talked about all of my fears. I needed to know that it would be safe for me to carry another child and have TR. The reassured me that everything would be fine. I had the surgery on Jan. 07th and today I am weighing 165. My BMI is like .1 from being considered normal and for once I am not afraid that this wont last. Anyone sorry for the long story but the reason I started collecting recipes is because I need to eat low carb high protein meals. I have many to share and if you have certain foods you like for ex. chicken recipes let me know and I can even email them to anyone that is interested.

Just curious but do any of you ever post healthy recipes? I have a ton of high protein low fat recipes. I have been collecting and I would love to share some but don't want to flood the board with recipes.

Great job darkfeary...I wish I had your determination. I am at a stand still I am still at 209..I need to pick the exercise up a notch, I have been stressing about waiting to hear if I got this job I interviewed for..and I am a stress eater. I have tried going to the gym instead, I am doing a little better but still have a ways to go...Keep up the good work ladies and we need to keep this thread going.

Hi sweeet_mommie

Sorry for the delay in my response, I have been Remodeling out home as we are getting it ready to sell so i have been busy busy busy...

Anyways , I have lost my 61 pounds threw my determination of wanting to have another baby and needing to get my health back, I Go to Curves (A Ladys Gym) 3 Times a week for 30minutes each time and I walk no less than 3 miles a day, I usually Keep My Walking to Between 3-6 miles a day!,,, It helps that I live in a development that has allot of cudesacs in it [Smile] ...

But now that I have achieved my BMI goal for the TR Surgery I can't help but get a bit discouraged because My Husband and I Are having some Difficulty Coming up with the funds for it.. I Am Struggling with myself because i am determined NOT to give up! I have come to far [Smile]

Determination and Moderation is the key to success!

You Can DO It Ladies!!!!!

A woman I work with used the 6 week body makeover and lost 50 pounds and has kept it off. She lost it almost 2 years ago. She has always pretty much kept with eating the same way but added stuff in slowly. When she feels like she's getting out of control she starts it back up. It really does work great.

GL to you all on your weight loss goals. You can do it!!!!!
