Alwayshope,
I can't offer any advice for the day of Surgery, but if you have heavy periods all the time try the new Always Infinity pads. They are a little more expensive, but work wonderful.
They are really thin, but I have found that they work better than the thicker overnight pads that I used to use. I still need the Infinity overnights, even during the day, but they are really great.
Best of Luck to you,
Kim

alwayshope, I was on my AF the day of surgery. I just placed a pad between my legs until surgery. Then, I walked to the operating room and told a nurse I had 1 on and she took a bio hazard bag and we placed it in that and I had my surgery. You will be fine..They will take very good care of you. alwayshope,
Please try not to worry about this. Many women have AF when they arrive for surgery. You can leave your pad on right up until surgery which lasts about an hour and as soon as you get into the recovery room your nurse will help you put another pad on. You will also be lying on a chux pad. I hope this eases your mind some.

I've read about other ladies having AF during the surgury and it was never a problem. I'm sure the nurses will instruct you. You may want to go with a thicker pad - similar to those large ones they give you after birth - that particular day.

Best of luck to you! [Smile]

Ever since I had my TL in 2004 AF has been extremely heavy and I think AF will be here when I have surgery on the May,29 and I am just really worried that I will be a mess when I get up I usually wear always plus with wings and that will only work for about an hour so that is the reason for most of my concern, any help or suggestion that any of you have I would be grateful to get thanks so much...I was really worried about asking this question.
