dweldon~ I use the Clear Plan Fertility Monitor. It "tells" me when to test, when LH surge is occuring, and when peak fertility is over. They are rather expensive, I purchased one new in 2000 for over $200, sold it after I had my son with a TL, and just bought one on eBay a month before TR date. On eBay they go for $50-$80 and you can get the sticks for at least 50% less on eBay also.

NCgirl, cause I am curious, is it the strip kind or the midstream?
I have only being using the OPK's for the last two months. I havent had my TR yet. Next month. The first month I got a positive right on CD 12, but this month it was CD 16 I got a positive. I thought I was really on time, but since I started tracking it, guess I am not as regular as I thought I was.
I would keep testing, someone else might have some advice.
In my instance, it works in my favor because I would have been o'ing the day or the day after TR surgery. This might push it out a bit for me. Maybe. Cause my body seems to have a mind of it's own.

Most ovulation kits will tell you when to start testing based upon the average length of your cycle. But a good rule of thumb is to assume that your ovulation USUALLY occurs about 14 days before AF. You would want to start testing a few days before that just to make sure you don't miss it. Good luck!
Most women ovulate between cycle days 10 and 14, which means 10 to 14 days after your period starts. You want to start testing on cycle day 10 and, once you see a positive on the ovulation predictor kit, you can stop testing. The day that you get the positive and the two days after that are the best days of the month to try to conceive. I hope this information helps - please refer to the following link for more information about ovulation monitoring.

I am new to the testing for ovulation, I am cd3, I was wondering after AF when do you start testing to see if you have ovulated? I went to a ovulation calender and It told me my best days to conceive. Do you test 2 weeks before your next AF? I need a little help with this.
