Cindy I know how great it feels to have a doctor that stands behind you. My OBGYN was the one that did my TL and then turned around and pointed me to CHTRC. How cool is that. He was not upset at all about me looking into a TR. No need to say that he is still my doctor. I love him. Miranda
I know exactly how you feel. I just moved to a new area and had to find a new OB/GYN. The day I met with him was just a few short days before my scheduled TR. He was very supportive and has actually delivered a patient that had a Dr. B TR baby! He shared your doctor's belief that using Dr. B or Dr. M was a smart choice.
I am glad you found a supportive physician and hope all goes well for you in the future!

Cindy--I'm glad you have done the work ahead of time. Finding a physician that you are comfortable with and who is supportive of tubal reversal surgery is really important. You have made some excellent choices with both your TR surgeons and your OB/GYN. Sally,RN

That's great Cindy! I'm so glad to hear you found a doctor you are happy with. I loved my OB/GYN and he moved to Boston (from Pittsburgh) in March I hope I can find a new one that I'm that comfortable with too!

I have a GYN doctor that I really like, but he doesnt deliver babies anymore, and so my family doctor encouraged me to find a OBGYN to get my BP meds and so forth straightened out before surgery.
Awhile back I researched OB doctor's in my area and made today's appointment. God is good. I was so nervous yesterday, about today's appointment, that I almost had myself sick to my stomach. After reading posts about people having discouraging OBGYN's regarding tubal reversal, I was nervous. Plus I had bad delivery with my second baby, although I went on to have a third. My husband told me last night he would try to get off work to go with me if it would make me feel better, and it did ease the anxiousness for me. I have the best husband in the world.
My new doctor was more supportive than words can say, way more than I expected. He was realistic, down to earth, and never judgemental. He made us feel much better about delivering (even though we are not there yet). Is more than willing to follow Dr. B's protocol. He has performed tubal reversals a few times, one with success, but was willing to admit he would never take on that kind of surgery again as he is not focused on that and he thought it was very smart that we chose a doctor that focuses on TR's only. I liked how he involved BOTH my husband and I in the conversation. I liked that he acknowledged DH and his feelings, although DH was pretty quiet (bless his heart lol). AWESOME!!! He is a high risk pregnancy OBGYN. I just feel really REALLY good about my choice for an OBGYN. And it's close to my home!!!
