Dear Gators:

We have performed 5 Essure reversals to date. As Martha mentioned, the Essure technique is relatively new so there is limited data and a limited number of women who have begun the journey to have the procedure reversed. However, the technique that is used to reverse an Essure is tubo-uterine implantation and Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith have performed these procedures and pregnancy rates are about 50% depending on the amount of healthy tube remaining after surgery.

Although the sterilization reversal of the Essure procedure is not as common, Dr. Berger has performed reversal surgery on women with this procedure. To our knowledge, he is the only doctor who has reversed the Essure technique.
Since the Essure has only been available since 2002 we currently do not have enough data on the outcomes of Essure reversal to provide pregnancy statistics. If you type in the word Essure in the above information box and press search, several articles should come up.

I was wondering how many Essure reversals Dr. Berger and Dr. Monteith have both done? What is the success rate? How many women have been become pregnant after having an Essure Reversal at CH? I just couldn't find any information about it on your site. Thanks!
