Well I was gonna with my dads card because I will have the money on my flex spending account BUT the flex spending account wont let you pre-pay CHTRC. So, my dad was gonna front me the money and then I would pay him back after I get my reimbursement. So I guess I will have to just get the money and deposit into my account first. I am just soooooo ready to get scheduled. I have been regretting getting a ligation since the day after I got it in Oct 07. My mom suffered a severe stroke before the birth of my second child and I thought my world was OVER!!!! I am only 25 now and my mother has recovered really well from her stroke. So, I understand now what I HUGE mistake I made!!! I've cried to long.....time to FINALLY schedule this thing and get on with my life!!!

Ok..the card is fine just remember the person who\'s name is on the card must be with you to provide the card and their signature the day of surgery. I had my surgery on Monday..You have to be at the hotel by 8pm on Sunday night. On monday the shuttle will take you and your caretaker to the surgery center. You must both go on the shuttle. It is a long day but it goes by very quickly. All the caretakers had big bags filled with drinks, snacks and entertainment material when we were there. Ignore the mean people..I think most just don't know how to express admiration for someone starting all over again. I am so close to mine being 18 yet we are now going to try again. We both have children from previous marriages but suddenly after 5 yrs decided we want one of our own. Who knew I would change my mind..

If you schedule for a Monday surgery date, then your consultation would be the morning of surgery with surgery to follow later. This also is true for the occasion when we are open the day following a holiday. If you have any questions at all, please give us a call at the office and we can go over dates and all of the steps that precede TR surgery. Fran M, RN

Welcome to the message boards Nickzero! If you wanted your surgery to be on a Monday then you would have your consulation first then your surgery later that same day. Because of this, Mondays do fill up rather quickly. As far as the payment goes, we do accept credit/debit cards as long as it has a Visa, Master Card or Discover Card logo on it. First I wanted to say welcome to the board. If I remember right they will take a debit card. Since I live close I took a money order. You will get more than enough info when you call them. I had my TR in 05. Im now due with TR baby number 5, so dreams can come true. You will feel as if you were at home. I remember I was so scared the day of my TR. I remember talking to the ladies and they were telling me everything will be just fine. The next thing I remember is hearing a sweet voice telling me everything was over. I was told DR talked to me but I must have been still under a bit to even know he talked to me. When I came to he was so nice to come back and talk to my DH and I. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel, even though I had just had a TR it was the best rest I had ever got. Once you get back to the hotel if you have any problems they will come right away. Please dont think you will need them, as for me I was just fine. I got rest that day and that night. The next day I was like myself. I still took it easy because I didnt want to over do it. Even if you feel like you dont need the rest, still give your body time to heal. You want to get healed so you and be on the road to TTC. OK, enough talking. I just want to wish you the very best and I cant say enough about the love and caring that CH has to offer. Khadija

Congrats!!! I'm hoping I will get the date I want in Feb. How did you pay? I know you have to give them funds within 24 hours of scheduling. I was thinking debit card. It has a Visa logo on it. I hope that will be fine.

Once you make that call and are finalized, it is such a relief! I couldn't believe how happy (and nervous) I was once I scheduled. My TR was 8 Oct.

Hi, I have a question on scheduling. If I wanted to have the surgery on a Monday, would they do the consult on Sunday? I ask because I am coming from Texas and am trying to figure out when we should fly out. Also, I know CHTRC is only open Mon-Fri. So if there is anyone out there that can help me I would appreciate it. By the way I am new to the board and I just wanted to wish all you ladies the best of luck. We are such a big group of "mis-understood" people. If I had a nickle for everyone who told me that I was crazy to want more kids...well I guess I would have enough to pay for the surgery already....he he...that's alot of MEAN people!!! So I hope the best for everyone, and many more babies to come!!!
