Money being NO OBJECT- I still would have gone with Chapel Hill! Seriously the experience alone is unbelievable! Then throw in the customer service you receive - here you are not just a $ amount but a real person going through life changing experiences. Even after my TR the CS care was awesome. When were I have a question I could call or get on here and within minutes a nurse or Dr. Berger would respond to me and help me out.
Then the price (I know if money wasn't an issue) but the price is really priced GREAT!!!! I have a friend that used one Dr in Atlanta and another in Tampa... Their expereinces were NOTHING like what I had and I have a TR baby- Only one of them do.
Girl you are in the right place- stay here and schedule your appointment!!!! It will be the BEST thing you have ever done
~ See ya on the other side!
Lots of Love,
Becki

We ended up scheduling with Dr. Berger.

Honestly it didn't make any difference to me. My husband however looked at both doctors pictures and told me to schedule with Dr Berger because Dr Monteith was younger and he didn't want a young guy checking me out "down" there. Of course he was just kidding but I thought it was kind of funny how he was basing his decision!

I have every confidence in both of them so if for some reason I get there and they tell me Dr Berger is sick, or couldn't make it and I'll have Dr. Monteith I won't be disappointed.

Hi Ladies, Dr. Monteith and Dr. Berger are both extremely qualified and it is a personal choice as to which doctor you prefer. Either way you are going to be in great hands! ChrisNbrian, if you have any questions about anything please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to helping you!

i chose dr. b because dr. m was not finished training yet, but did assist in my surgery. taht was an interesting way hisqueen made her decision. I think you would be in excellent hands either way. i would may talk with both and see which one's personality fits yours. Dr. M seems to be a bit more outgoing type personality. where dr. b seemed to be a little more laid back but very good bedside manners.

I'm sorry if that's the way you read my post...I was just stating our reasons for our choice like chrisnbrian asked. I have no doubt that Dr. Berger is absolutely fabulous at what he does. The pregnancies listed under his name are a testament to that. I also believe in giving the newer guy a chance. Everyone has a reason for their choices please don't put others down for their opinions.

I had Dr Berger do mine. I can say he did the surgery with the HIGEST level of conciousness. I know he paid very close attention to detail as if I were the only person to have surgery that day. I am sure they are both great Dr.s and both have pregnancies listed. I think it is almost unfair to vaguely imply that Dr Berger may not be as Meticulous because he has been doing this longer.

Money was no objection for us either. After talking it over and ordering the complete video we went with Dr. Monteith. My hubby is a Dr and he decided to go with Dr. Monteith, which was my way of looking at it also. I looked up both their License and education records. It was a hard decision. Dr. Monteith is just slightly younger and fresher at this so I think he has the newness on his side. Newer Dr.s are sometimes more conscious of all the details and try to be perfectionist more than the ones who have done it for a while. I think that with Dr. Berger having trained him that both Dr's are a wise decision no matter who you choose. Good Luck..

Dear Chris:

We know this is an important decision. Rest assured you will be in the hands of an expert in tubal reversal surgery with Dr. Monteith or Dr. Berger. At this point, Dr. Monteith has performed more than 700 reversals, so he has significant experience as well and the pregnancies reported each week by his patients are a reflection of that experience.

Either way, we will look forward to meeting you soon! Feel free to contact me this weekend if you are ready to schedule. 919-656-8204

Congrats on getting ready to schedule [Smile] So exciting! I wanted Dr. Berger bc he has done this for so long and it's his practice so it just seemed right. I asked my DH and he b4 I could finish asking said Dr. Berger.... Might sound funny but he said it's only 500.00 more yes 500 is a lot of money but if he is the pro then HE'S OUR MAN! [Smile]
I wish you the best of luck Chris let us know what happens and when you schedule

Hello. When I started researching TR and I first found Dr. Berger (back he was the only Dr. at this center) I felt he was the best and I waited a long time to actually have TR done because to me his years of experience and the fact that he has done this surgery thousands of times was very important. I also think that Dr. Berger would only pick a doctor that is very talented and skillful to be associated with his name and practice. So I think they are both great. Best wishes to you on your TR.

I chose Dr.B and I have absolutely no regret in chosing him. I chose Dr. B because he has been doing the surgery longer and as complicated as all my reproductive organs seems to be, I figured my tubes would be complicated also. [Smile] Although I have heard great things about Dr. M also, so either way I dont think you can go wrong.

what doctor would you choose for your tubal reversal surgery?

I'm hoping to schedule my surgery tomorrow or Monday and I'm just curious as to why you picked the doctor you did.

Thanks,
Chris
