Hi Danaka, I know I was wondering the same thing too:) Looking at the statistics of this website, any tubal length gives you a chance. As far as 'ideal lengths, I got a better idea by looking at the pregnancy statistics link of tubal length pregnancy rates and if i remember right the percent seemed to drop the most between the 5.o cm to the 4.9 cm being left. So maybe 5 or more would be the most 'ideal'..that being said its all relative and we all have a chance of getting pregnant no matter how long our lengths, once we are put back together again:)

There is no specific tubal length that is ideal, but pregnancy rates go up the longer the tubes are following surgery. The good news -- we have seen pregnancies with tubes less than 2cm in length and quite a few pregnancies with tubal lengths in the 4cm range.
One of the nice things about tubal reversal surgery is that once the tubes are open -- even if they are short - fertility is restored and pregnancy can occur at any time.

I was just wondering this?? I'm waiting for Monday and I was told that my Dr. took 2cm during my tubal ligation but what if he took more? Is there a length that is not good? Oh all the questions, I can't wait to be on the other side and trying for my baby! Thanks ladies Danaka
