Thanks, Caroljean, for the info. I do not know when I ovulated. I haven't started tracking that in any meaningful way yet. I, simply, calculated Day 21 from the first day of my period. I met with the nurse practitioner today who said pretty much the same thing you posted from fertilityplus. She is sending me to a fertility specialist next week to see what my options are. I can't help but think that today's conversation with the nurse could have signaled the end of the journey before it even started. However, I don't feel that that was the message, and I remain positive and hopeful until I'm told otherwise. Peace.

Do you know what day you ovulated? The progesterone test should be done at 7 dpo, but most docs do at CD 21 on the assumption that all women ovulate on CD 14. But if you ovulated sooner or later, the number may not be real accurate. Assuming you are not on any meds, then 9.08 is okay - not showing "optimum" ovulation, but supposedly anything over 5 shows ovulation. They like over 10, but you are real close. I had 6-8 on no meds, and 10-12 on clomid. This is taken from Fertility Plus website and I have found the info on their to be in line with other lab requirements:
"Progesterone (P4) 7 dpo > 15 ng/ml A progesterone test is done to confirm ovulation. When a follicle releases its egg, it becomes what is called a corpus luteum and produces progesterone. A level over 5 probably indicates some form of ovulation, but most doctors want to see a level over 10 on a natural cycle, and a level over 15 on a medicated cycle. There is no mid-luteal level that predicts pregnancy. Some say the test may be more accurate if done first thing in the morning after fasting. "

Hey ladies. I'm 44 so I asked my ObGyn to check all my hormone levels so I would have an idea where I am at and if it is worth going through with the TR. I had my progesterone level checked this past Sunday on Day 21. It came back 9.08. Day 3 labs (LH, FSH, prolactin) were all within normal limits so I was feeling pretty confident. I don't know if my progesterone level is good or bad. Can anybody shed any light on this for me? Thanks, Jen
