Abryant1724 I live a little over 3 hours from CH. I had my TR on 3/24/08 and with us this close we drove. We are close to an airport and I thought it maybe fun to fly down but like you said I loved being in my own car. I sleep while me DH drove and he made sure I stopped and got out to walk and move around. We do have a lot in common it seems. You teach I read. I hold my AAS in early childhood and I am working on my Bats in Birth- Kinder. Nothing like it. Right now I am home schooling. So glad I did with the flu and all this year. You can write me at ranisheets23 it is at yahoo dot com. I wish you all the best as you decided on your big day. I went over Easter. I went to church Easter Sunday and then after church we drove down. I then had surgery on the Monday after Easter. Like you the TL was the best call at the time.My now DH is my best friend in many ways. Sorry about the book. Hang in there. Miranda

MY TL was 7/25/02 I had a Bipolar tubal fulguration (coagulation)
It was the best decision for me at the time- the marriage was abusive and unhealthy. We divorced only a few years later. My DH now is the best- he loves my kids and I dearly and I am excited for us to have children of our own and of course my son wants a brother and my daughter wants a sister!

Miranda- I noticed in one of your other posts that we have a lot in common. I am also 29, DD 7, DS 9, DH 25. Thanks for the input. I had noticed the abb link and I have it saved to favorites now We are planning a TR either over xmas or spring break- I am teacher in oklahoma and we must plan around my schedule and the kids' sports schedule. I have been remarried for 2 years. My DH has no children. We initially were going to do IVF but after looking into TR it is the right way to go for us. Chapel Hill sounds like the best place in the US to go. So we are looking into flights vs driving- we would have to stop on the way and stay overnight- probably in Nashville on the way there and back since it is a 17 hour drive for us. Or a 5 hour flight with switching flights one-two times. Walking around an airport post op sounds no fun to me- at least in a car I can get comfortable and I am not surrounded by strangers while in discomfort. Where are you from? What is your suggestion on this travel dilemna? Looking forward to getting to "know" you

Newbie1178 it is perfectly alright to be intimate with your husband the night before surgery and no we won't see any evidence of it on your ultrasound!

Thanks ladies for your response I was just wondering because I was thinking of scheduling hopefully if that date is open Feb.15 2010 a day after Valentines day so that night we would be in Chapel Hill preparing for next day surgery hoping to get consultation and surgery the same day.

I don't want to be too graphic but wouldn't there still be "remnants" of your BD when you went in for your ultrasound? I guess it wouldn't matter if you didn't have your consult and surgery the same day but what if you had a Monday surgery?
I will be ovulating right after my surgery date so it would be nice if we could get a jump start on the process but it kinda grosses me out thinking about the poor ultrasound technician having to go "there" LOL

I think that since you're in a hotel, away from home, alone with DH, and no kids, its almost natural for couples to BD when you're there. We did not though, only because of all the flying and we were both so tired .. not to mention the hotel lost power and AC because of a bad storm.
