I'm scheduled for Jan also (1/18)! I'm a pediatric emergency room RN and I'm having my surgery on a Mon and hoping to not go back until the following week, about 9 days off. I want to conserve as much of my paid time off as possible. I don't do a lot of litfing because we have the parents there with the child but I do A LOT of running around at a crazy pace and I'm on my feet for 12 straight hours so hopefully all will be fine. Good luck to you and maybe we'll be scheduled for the same day!

Thank you everyone for your input and kind words. It seems to consume my every thought at this point, I am very excited to have TR surgery. It is so nice to be able to chat with other women going through similiar situations.. What an awesome support system!!!!

I was in a room or 18 Kindergartners when I had mine so I was out 2 weeks. There was a lot going on there, picking up things, kids hitting my tummy, cleaning, lot of walking, and so on. So it was wise to take the time. I wish you all the best. Miranda

I, too, had my TR on a Thursday. Was back at work on the following Tuesday. Would have gone back that Monday but was off due to federal holiday. As Jenn posted, I sit a desk all day, so not much physical effort is exerted at work. I did get up and walk around every now and then just to keep active. You'll do fine. Every woman heals differently. Just pay attention and listen to what your body tells you.

I had my TR on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday. I'm an attorney and sit at a desk most days so I wasn't worried as much as others may be. Congrats on getting ready to schedule and good luck!
Most of our patients return to work anywhere from 4-9 days after surgery. Everyone recovers at a different pace. We do recommend to avoid heavy lifting (greater than 15 pounds), abdominal situps and abdominal crunches. I look forward to helping you schedule your surgery.
