I live in NC. 2 hours from CH. I am also one of the few lucky ones. My OB/GYN does this surgery but still suggested Chapel Hill because they do this everyday and it would be a much more affordable route. He was actually just as excited for us as we were. My surgery was April 24, 2009 and I am happy to report that I am now 15 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Due on May 2, 2010. Good Luck and lots of Baby Dust to you.

I have started walking and running at night! Well I just started last night.. It was rainy and cold, but my son and I did it anyway...I didn't run too far, but I power walked about a mile. Its not alot, but its more than I've done in 10 years! Im so excited about the walks. My son and I laughed the entire time! Alexsmom34, I will definitely email you! Have a great weekend!
When I decided that I wanted to get a TR, I had to lose at least 30 pounds. That was this past January....so, I joined a gym...and worked hard hard hard, my husband helped me by going on nightly walks together (which, btw, was great for our relationship....) and, I lost the weight by August. Had my TR last week. So, you CAN and WILL do it....just take it one step at a time. Do not consider it a diet. Consider a healthy lifestyle change that will be good for your whole family! GOOD LUCK!! ~Chrissy

spoldrottn...hey, I also have some weight to loose, I want my TR after next semester, which gets out after the first week in May. I am thinking that would be a good time to get it done, I used to be a runner, now I am not but I have to get back into it. I need a pair of those shoes that tone your butt and thights by reebok. LOL Any help is good help! Anyhow, I plan on using my part of my student loans and my savings...my hubby and I will probably drive down..it would be nice for us to just get away, we have been married 7 years on Dec. 3rd and no honeymoon yet, a baby is more important. My family doctor was less than thrilled with tubal reversal notion when I brought it up. In fact, he told me it was a gimmick and should question any "service" I found over the internet. :0)
Needless to say my tubal reversal baby is 17 months old. I think doctors are just so uninformed about the procedure and statistics, it's just easier to be negative and doubtful. I hate to say ignorant, but if most of these doctors would simply look at the site, contact CH and get the facts, they would all be much more informed and open-minded.

Spoldrottn: I really don't think you will ever regret your decision to do this. Although it is quite a journey, and even though I have not got my BFP , I am certainly glad I had the tubal reversal ! Good luck to you!!
