Hi Spoldrottn, I wish you luck on this journey for you. Remember you can combine exercise with your healthy diet, drinking plenty of water. I know you can do it. The message board is a great source of TR support and inspiration where losing weight is concerned as well as other helpful ideas. We look forward to meeting you in mid-2010! Kathy

spoldroth welcome to the posting. I am a lucky one. I live in NC and my OPGYN that did my tubal ligation is the one who pointed me to a doctors that could do my TR. Most as you all ready have faced have doctors who look down on getting a tubal reversal . I wish you all the best on losing the weight. Just walking every day does wonders for you. I hope you are able to set your big day faster than you think. Miranda

my DR was discouraging too- In fact he told me I would NEVER be able to get PG again... I too was 35 years old and after my TR - 10 months later I got my first BFP--- My tubal reversal baby was born 09-01-08 and is now 14 months old..... Chapel hill is the BEST choice and I know my DR was mad because he too could of untied them for 10.000 plus hosotial costs.... I think he was more just mad I went with someone else and better to have my TR done... DOn't give up hope or faith-- I say just GO FOR IT!!!!!!! We are trying for Tr abby #2 ☺

spoldrottn, very few Gyns will encourage tubal reversal . Most of us have encountered negativity . After I was told IVF was my only hope, I went ahead with TR anyway. Then, when I was searching for a new OB/GYN, one of the first questions I asked was if they had other TR patients. I found a group who did have experience and knew the importance of the monitoring and they are great. I hope you have an easy time getting the weight off and get your TR soon. Good luck.

I had my TT when my 3rd child was born in '01. I have regretted it since the day he was born. My husband and I have wanted another child. Due to circumstances and military orders we decided againt TR. After much thought, and my 3 children begging us to have another child,I have decided Im going to do it! I approached my husband with the thought and he was all for it! I do have to lose about 50 lbs, which will be tough, but I want this bad enough that I can do this. I am 35, and my DH is 41. My goal is to have surgery mid-2010.
I went to my gynecologist for an annual physical today. He discouraged me from having TR! All I could think of was what I read on the website and the statistics...62% for my age range! Its worth a try to me. Please keep us in prayer as I work hard to lose weight! I need to lose anyway to be healthy!
Any encouragement would be great! I look forward to reading!
