Hi!Ladies, I had my TL 4yrs ago after the birth of my 4th child. My OB even made me wait 3 mo. after my sons birth. He wanted me to realy think about it. It was my 2nd marriage and it was going down hill. I thought it was my only choice.I left the marriage when my son was 6mo. old.I know it was the best thin to do. I have 3 other children to my first marriage. My ex left after 13 years of marriage. He was unfaithful. I got married last year for the 3rd time and it was the best thing I ever did. He is wounderful!!!! We dated 1 yr before marriage. My husband doesnt have any children of his own so we decided to have a TR thats when we found out my husband has a brain tumor(not cancer) but it shut down his testostrone and now we are going to see if he can father a child. He is getting a test on the 28 and I'm a little worried. His Doctor thinks he should be fine. I had my TR 11-28-05. Rinkie

I am 30 and am already blessed with 3 sons. My boyfriend is 40 and doesn't have children. Just 2 days ago, we were talking about something...and somehow having a child came up...and I told him I would love to have a child with him (he is THE MOST WONDERFUL man, and will be an AWESOME dad!), he was soooo happy. He told me he'd never said anything before, because he knew I'd had a TL and he didn't want me to feel as though I couldn't give him what he wanted, well...something along those lines...see how sweet he is? Anyway, we started talking about how maybe there was some way to reverse my TL, and so yesterday we got online and we found this site. Unfortunately, it will be some time before we have enough to pay for the TR, though I really want to use my tax money (I worked last year, but I now stay at home) to pay for almost all of the TR. But, we have other things that we need to use the tax money for at this point...I have to pay off my truck and pay off the fridge, and do some work to our house! So, I think we will be doing the prepayment plan and then pay the remaining with next year's tax refund, because I have decided to get a job so that we could put the extra money into the plan. So, hopefully by next March we will have the full amount from saving and the refund and we can get the TR scheduled!

I have three kids by my ex-husband. I always loved kids but my ex was not very good with them. I cried for a week when I got pregnant with my third baby. I love my son but I really didn't want to have another baby with my ex. isn't that sad? My parents are still married and I thought the right thing to do was stay married. (even if I was miserable) He was very abusive toward my kids. I had TL in 2002 the day my last son was born. My DH now is the most wonderful man I have ever met. He's been married before but has no kids. He is so good with mine. We actually talked about reversal about two months after we started dating. He did all the research. that was a year and a half ago. I gave up hope b/c I thought it was too expensive. Last tax season I was getting a lot of money back and thought about getting a tummy tuck. I kind of felt guilty about spending that money on myself and then it hit me to check into TR again. My DH again looked at DR B's website and told me he was the best candidate. It still took us till Nov. to get all the money together. I had my TR Dec. 9. This is the first month we are TTC. I just thank God for sending me DH. I love him so much. I once asked him why he didn't have kids with his ex. He said he didn't want any with her.

It took me 3 days to call and make an appointment with DR. B. when I found out that it could be done. I was so excited, I guess that I was naive because I did not know that a TR could even be done.....I got my TR on July 12, 2004. I was not married at the time. I started to TTC in October 2005. I got married on September 27, 2005. It has only been 2 months but I want this to happen soon. I am 38 and my DH is 27. I want this to happen before I am 40.

Not sure where to begin..not even sure if I'm posting right! lol
High school sweetie and I married after a prev marriage each in 2001. Had a preg in 1991 and regret greatly the wrong decision. I have 3 kids from prev and he has 2. He had adopted my 3 and all is crazy but well. Think a child would bind, heal, and be a dream come true for our family.
Had tl in june 98 and a sm section of left tube removed w/a cyst in 99. Wonder what my chances are and if this will give us the baby come true? Getting path reports this week to send.
I'm 31 and bmi is great.
Anybody out there in similar place or w/ similar health conditions?

I found Dr Bergers website about 2 years ago also. I never talked on the message board, just observed. My hubby was never vocal about wanting a child. The past 6 months or so we talked about it and decided to get a loan. That extra pymt each month will be oh so worth it in the end we hope...

I actually found Dr. Berger's site 2 years ago. My father was very sick, I was helping my mother as much as I could and at the time I thought we could never get the money. Well in October 05 we decided to see if we could get a loan, we did. So living in Ohio I thought we would research somewhere closer, we did and found someplace our appointment was 10-13-05 and what a huge disappointment that was I was so upset. I called Chapel Hill that night and by 10-17-05 I had my appointment for 11-10-05. I was so excited. So here we are TTC. Good Luck to everyone.

After discussing and looking into adoption after my son passed away in June 2004, we looked further and found Dr. B in August 2004, I faxed my reports to CHTRC and they told me I had to wait until I had my thyroid levels (hyperthyroid) controlled and stable for at least 3 months before I could have surgery. They were at that stable point in Dec. I paid and scheduled Dec. 29th to have the TR on April 8th, 2005. Quick decision, but very thankful we found this website! We are now expecting another son.

KIM! I did NOT know you were scheduled for a tubal re-repair with Dr B!!! That is wonderful. There does seem to be a record of success for ladies who have gone back for round 2 with him. I have been ttc for ten months with no bfp, and my GYN won't order the HSG till it has been twelve months. If I discover my tubes are both blocked, I would certainly ask Dr B for help again. I will not let just any old doctor do work on these tubes, LOL.
I wish you THE VERY BEST and please know I will have you in my prayers!

Dancy, I laughed where you wrote "it wasn't a dealbreaker"...that's what I told my DH soon after we met, that I was afraid my TL would be a dealbreaker in our relationship. It wasn't, and we married Dec 6, 2003 with no intention of having children together, though I knew my DH would have liked a baby. For almost a year and a half, I was picturing a life with no kids except my two from my first marriage. This past April 2005, I had my tonsils out and as soon as I woke up from the anesthesia, I thought 'that wasn't so bad, I could go through surgery to try to have a baby'. We scheduled a few days later and I had my TR on June 27, 2005. TR was a walk in the park compared to tonsillectomy!

As many of you know, I'm scheduled for a tubal re-repair on January 30, 2006. The second decision was almost as quick as the first. We have come too far to turn back now.

I had my TL at 22 during the csection of my 2nd child. I had a two year old at home too. We had a boy and a girl so I thought we were done, and I have terrible pregnancies. That young marriage unraveled...I always felt a little sad at the idea of no more kids...but when I met my new DH I knew he wished we could have a child together(he has none)but he said it was not a dealbreaker. We thought about it for a couple of years, not really talking about it much. Last January I received an unexpected lump of cash, and we both immediately said "TR!!!", and I scheduled right then for March 4, 2005, three weeks before our wedding.
So there were almost 12 years between my TL and my TR, a couple years of consideration, and one defining moment!
My tubes are both 6 cm.

I had TL in 1998 immediately following the birth of my daughter. I had a fairly abusive ex so at the time it seemed like the only thing to do. I was the ripe old age of 23 and post partum hormonal when I made my decision. I left my ex in 2000 and met Jim (current DH). We decided in about 2002 to do IVF (had never heard of tubal reversals) after we got married. We got married in 2003 and started researching IVF and found Dr. B instead! I'm so glad I did! I had my TR in Nov. of 2004 and was pregnant in Dec. 2004. I had an early m/c but got pregnant again in Jan. 2005. My little TR Allison was born Sept. 24th 2005. I got a loan to have my surgery because I didn't want to wait. Obviously it worked out great for us! [Big Grin]
