mercy-
When I had my tubal I told the Dr. to burn them, tie them, cut them just make sure they never work again and he did all of the above. Dr. Berger is a Great Dr! He put them back together.
I only have 3.5 on each side and thought no way is that long enough but we got pg the very 1st cycle but I had a m/c. Six months later we got pg again and now at 40 I'm almost 6 months pg with a little boy. It works. I wish you the very best of luck. We're not too old!

Mercy,
Your tubal lengths are more than sufficient to allow you to become pregnant. If you read our Pregnancy Statistics, you will see that many of our ladies with tubes shorter than yours have become pregnant.
I hope this reassures you,

mercy4mama, I don't know if it is of any help, but I am 42 but have great lengths - 6.0 and 7.5, but still no BFP...but have seen ladies with much shorter tube get pregnant, so I wouldn't worry so much about the tube length, as long as they are open, that is what matters. The age can be an issue though, as it does get tougher and take longer with us more "mature" moms. Just stick with it and hopefully you have a doc that won't make you wait to long to help you. Good luck!

Mercy4mama,
Keep positive thoughts. Your tubal lengths should be fine to become pregnant. We have had many ladies report pregnancies with smaller lengths. I know it is hard not to stress yourself out, but staying positive will help. Good luck to you! Please keep us posted on your progress.

I am 40 and have lengths of 2 and 3. I got BFP in Nov., but m/c. So I guess it can happen, the funny thing was that month we did not BD on day I o'd but day before and after. My concern is that the eggs trip is shorter than it should be???

My tubes are 2.0 and 2.5 and I have been PG 6 times since TR but I did m/c. It had nothing to do with my tubes, it's because my eggs are shot and I am 45.

Check the PG reports many ladies are getting PG. I do know Virginia (wifeofrascal) had one tube of 3.0 and had a healthy baby girl. Don't worry. I think your chances are very good. Good luck.

mercy4mama,
We have had reported pregnancies among women with only one tube and women with tubal lengths as short as 1 cm.

I have 3 and 4 tube lengths and I've had One TR baby and 2 miscarriages. I worried about my lengths too..but my biggest issue was my fimbria was missing and Dr.Berger did something special to my tubes and it worked.

I don't know if this helps but I seen on the preg. report a lady with 2.0 tubes and I can only hope that you can get preg with your tube lengths because mine are exactly the same L. 3.0
and R. 3.5 I had my TR 4-1-08 and no bfp as of yet..But i'm still hoping and praying:)

Can some one please tell me if they have gotten pregnant with tubes as small as mine? I have 3 cm and 3.5 cm tubes and have been praying for another child. If I were younger I wouldn't be so concerned, but I am 41 1/2. Any info on tubal fibrosis would also be appreciated. Thank you and God bless you all.
