WOW Sparky, i have not had my tr yet but am going to try to have it done in may..this is the kind of stories i love to read about.. CONGRATS! AND HAPPY HEALTHY 9 MONTHS infant:..GOD BLESS!!
I have not been on in quite some time. Had my tr in April 2008 and have been having a rough time of it. Every month waiting..... For those of you that are in the same boat, do not lose hope! I will be 42 on April 17th and got a BFP this morning! Took almost a year but we did it! Tried everything, OPK, vitamins, nothing worked. My husband says to just relax and let it happen. So I did. Stopped counting and using OPK, stayed on vitamins, stopped all sugar and WOW! I am still in shock! Hope that all goes well with you too.

I too wanted to say 'keep the faith'. Remember that I conceived my little sweetie at 45....4yrs after TR.....and delivered at 46.....without any help. I would so love to have another, but time is not on my side. I want to spend a few years enjoying her and by then, well, I could be in menopause......YIKES!!!!!
I would LOVE to show her off in pictures, but I haven't the faintest idea how to include them.

Well ladies it has been a long time since I have posted and wanted to check up on you all. My TR anv. has passed 3-25-05 it has been 4 year since my journey started and I do have a wonderful little boy that has added so much to our lives. He is now 19 months old and giving the energizer bunny a run for his money. I have added new pics of him in my photo album MnKmaybebaby. I will try to put one of his pictures on here later. Keep the faith Ladies!!! I was 42 almost 43 when I had Keaton.
Haven't posted in so long but I have read the posts pretty regularly.
I've had three cycles since my TR in January '09. I just started my fourth cycle a couple of days ago. I thought for sure that we hit the bullseye last month but not so.
As soon as this last period started I checked my fertility software and based on the information provided, I drew up a calendar with my fertile days circled. On each of those days I have listed the things that I need to do in order to better my chances of conception this month: 1. Robitussin 2tsp 3x daily 2. Vitamin B6 500mg daily 3. Ovulation tests 4. Pre-Seed Let's see what happens.
My Gyn wants me to schedule an HSG but I just don't think that I want to expose myself to more radiation. I'm hoping that I can have a laparoscopic procedure done instead.
IVF is not an option for me. I just want to conceive naturally and do whatever it takes to improve my chances without too much artificial intervention.
By the way, my first name is Denise and I'm 45. In my former life I conceived and gave birth to four children all with only one fallopian tube. It's so strange for me now to be "struggling" to get pregnant. My concern used to be how NOT to get pregnant. Lol!
Hope everyone is doing ok! I've been watching the board too - just not posting as much!
Sandra - You seem at peace with your decision on TTC - piece of mind is everything though-- I do wish you the very best though and don't be a stranger on the board though what ever path you take!
I go in for my embryo transfer tomorrow. Did really well on the meds - never thought I'd be able to give the shots as I did - but nearing the end - I was a pro..lol
I had 19 follicles prior to starting my meds and then doing the count on Monday before my trigger shot that night - I have 17 follicles that were 15mm or larger - when we did the transfer on Wednesday - I had already started to ovulate and some of the eggs were already on their way out - My RE said that is my body's way of getting 'rid' of the abnormal eggs - and that sometimes that can happen due to my 'age' - you know - the one foot in the grave because you're over 40 and wanting a child age... -- Regardless though - he was able to retrieve 3 eggs - not the greatest # - but more than none.
I go back in at 10 tomorrow for the transfer and to see how many of the 3 did well. When I went today for my accupuncture treatment - she said - you are tired and I have been - with the meds and my schedule - so this week - I cut my work schedule down from 50 hrs to 25 - even though I work from home - I need to focus more on rest and less work for the next 2ww.
Enough about me!
Anita - your lil' guy is soooooo adorable. I love seeing pics of him!
Carmencita - so good to see you post again - I think of your often and hope you are continuing to do well.
Emmie - Got your stuff packed and ready to move to NC? Hope you are doing well also!!
Michele, Kay, Jan, Sheila and Chris -
Hope life is being good to you all and that you're all doing well!
Take care ladies - Will check back in with you soon! Betty

Hi Sandra... yea i am still here.. kinda addicted to checking out this place each and every day... and still hoping to see the other oldies come on to check in... Seems my trying is over too, unless we get a miracle cash for iVF. Not working toward a nervous Massachusetts cycle since i live in CT. Mass has a mandate with unlimited age. So as long as your cycles are normal and levels are good, your good to go for IVF.. but unfortunately i live out of Mass and no insurance there... Not trying to fudge the system for one chance and be unsuccessful.. I dotn want it to be an inconvenience or mistake... although i felt i could do just about anything to get my miracle baby... but that may be too far fetched and wrong! Dont want to get caought in insurance fraud or anything to get me in deeper trouble.
So i will just enjoy my life with my grand son and my other grand baby on the way in the fall. Work towards paying off all my debt and buy a bigger place. Need my own yard!!!
HOpe you are doing well.
Girls? Hope you all are out there and doing well also.

Good morning ladies. Seems our thread is getting lost, so I thought I would post.
This past cycle I did Follistim in hopes of an IUI. It was cancelled because the Dr. said I had way to many mature eggs and I may over stimulate.
Well today is CD 40 and no sign of the hag. I have tested a few times only to get a BFN. I think I may have a cyst or something. I did B/W and still BFN and then was asked if I wanted meds to bring on AF. I said no. So now it's just a waiting game for her to show.
I will be leaving for California Monday the 30th to spend a few weeks with my sons. My youngest will be 19 and I'm looking forward to seeing them again. It has been almost a year since I have seen the three of them. I can't wait!
Caroljean, Emmie, Sheila, Debs, Betty, Chris, Jan, Anita and Carmencita, how are you? Hope you all had a wonderul St. Patricks Day. Have a wonderful weekend.

Jan, I'm happy to hear the babies are doing well. You are being surrounded! I'm sure if you really get the urge to have a baby in the house, one of those sets of parents will be glad to offer theirs up for a few hours!
I'm going to post a new picture of Ikey under my name in the photo albums. He's growing and changing so fast. I love him so much it hhurts.
Well, FF says i am 3dpo.. but i think its 4 or 5 dpo. I am frustrated with the feeling that i want to quit trying again.. mixed feelings.. Does anyone else have that happen? Maybe its due to my grandson is now here. I spent a night with him last week.. Ughhh EVERY 2 HOURS!!! lol didnt get much sleep, but when i went home the next day, i took a 3 hour nap!! lol good thing i can do that... wonder if i could do it all over again! SURE i could! Do i want to? Ummmm like i said, mixed emotions.. lol But i got some good news yesterday.. My nephew and his girl had their baby girl by c section. AWESOME!!! both doing great. She is also my daughter's best friend... so two babies in the family in a 16 days between... now all i have to do is wait for my son;s baby to be born.... (due Oct11). WOOHOO so many babies.. they all having them for ME!! lOL
Betty, good luck with your next cycle... seems like with me not having to be on meds, i get crabby anyway.. guess its my hormones.
Carm? Good luck with your jewelry business.. make sure you let me know if you can show me a catalog.. i am a sucker for fashion gems.. rings, bracelets, earings... they all get me in the pocket book. Sorry to hear about your mini stroke... Glad you are feeling much better tho. Take care of yourself.
