It's a rainy day here in NC. I slept in and it felt GREAT~~~~~
Went to RE yesterday and she did another u/s and I start my Lupron injections Monday morning for 10 days and then go back on the 11th for another ultrasound and more instructions. We are looking at 03/26 or 03/27 for egg retrieval. Very excited yet trying to remain realistic at the same time. Shots are not going to be as bad as I had anticipated which is always a good thing..lol
Hope everyone else has had a great week.
You guys are being quiet this week. Hope it just means that everyone is doing wonderful and BDing ALOT. Looking for BFPs soon - it's spring time and we need some!
Sandra, Emmie, CarolJean, Anita, Michele, Kay, Val, Carmencita, Chris and everyone else - Hope you have a good weekend~

Hi Ladies, My husband is staying near Chowan University. Our plan is to buy a house in that area. I will be staying in MA long enough to try one IUI, but unfortunately with our relocation I will no longer have the same insurance coverage that would have allowed me to pursue other options...I'm hoping the calm country living will work to my advantage! It really is a lovely place. Emmie, I am 41...for a couple of more months! I responded well to Clomid, and tomorrow they will be showing me how to do injections for this IUI attempt...Here's to hoping.
I was born and raised in California but it became so unaffordable and ridiculous that we moved to Texas last year. I could not live without the ocean. I have been surfing since I was 12 and the surf is great here.
The weather here never gets over 100 and in the winter it hovers in the 50's, thats in farenheit. I live on an island in the Gulf of Mexico off the Corpus Christi coast. We are surrounded by the ocean.
One of the reasons we moved to Texas is because the economy is much better than the rest of the US. Texas tends to take care of the people of the state. Texans consider themselves a country of it's own, hence the motto "Lone Star State"
If you get a chance Google Port Aransas, Texas on your computer. If your starting a business I guarantee it will flourish here.
If you ever want to visit, you and your family are always welcome in my home. Good luck and thanks for you optimism.
Sandra don't give up hope before it is a fact, an egg survives 12 hours and possibly longer so who knows!! Hoping for you.
Shemarsav, welcome, hope the iui will work for you. How old are you?
Thanks Caroljean. We just loved NC when we came for the TR. We did hire a car and explored the area a bit. We would be setting up our own business so would not be looking for a job which is why we said NC or VA.(assuming Virginia is similar to NC) Not sure where we would settle.
Sandra thats a great offer. As we have not made up our mind I hope that goes for anywhere in the US? I had not thought of Texas before but the climate is one of the reasons we want to move and I thought Texas got really hot in the summer? This does ofcourse beat the endless rain we seem to get nowadays over here in the summer. Do you live at the coast, can one surf there? (sons like it)
I do not want to get too far off the subject but really appreciate the imput of you ladies.
Betty hope to hear something positive from you soon to cheer us all up.

I live on the coast here in NC and it is beautiful. Jobs can be hard to come by, unless you are in a trained field. I'm about 5-10 minutes from the beach. What part of NC are you planning on moving to?
Betty NC is beautiful. I wouldn't mind moving there myself but I love the tropical weather here in south Texas. Now if I really had a choice I wouldn't mind living on the big island of Hawaii.LOL How are your treatments going? Can't wait to hear some good news from you.
Emmie you can alway move here to Texas. No snow of course but it will be a beautiful 70 degrees today. You can see the dolphins looking out my window in the gulf. I'm your sister so I can sponsor you. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Shemarsav welcome to our thread and good luck on the IUI. Ours was cancelled because of too many eggs and fear of OHSS. Good luck.
VA40 and NJ how are you? It's nice to see more people posting.
As for me my IUI was cancelled so we decided to BD the day I goy my first ever EWCM. Within an hour of me posting that, it had all but dried up. We BD'd on Monday but by the time DH got home on Friday it was 10pm before we could do the dance. By then I am sure the old egg was dead. So ladies not a chance in he!!0 that we made it. I guess maybe it's a sign.
Oh well, I am not to upset. I have been going to school and I will be changing my major. Looks like I had a midlife crisis and I will be going for nursing. I'm still doing cakes on the side but I think I should have stayed in the medical field all along. If I can't have a baby I might as well help bring them into the world.
Absolutely you are welcome here! I am in Greensboro. I am about 1 hr and 20 mins from Charlotte and about the same amount of time from Raleigh/Chapel Hill. What part of NC will be you moving to? It really is gorgeous here. I lived in CT for almost 2 yrs and there is nothing like coming back home for me. We have tried IUI twice - not with frozen samples - but we didn't have any luck. I responded well with the clomid each time - but not a BFP.
Again welcome - the ladies here are a great deal of support.

Hi Betty, It's comfoting to hear you speak so well of NC. I will be moving there from MA by the end of the month. I am an over 40 TR gal(12/07), so I hope I am welcome to join this thread. I have not had any luck with a bfp so far, but there was some concern that my tubes were blocked. My RE took a closer look and removed some tiny bits of debris, and said I was good to go! He was also amazed at Doctor Berger's work once he saw it. Unfortunately my husband has been in NC since December, so TTC isn't happening at this time. My RE is going to do one round of IUI with injectibles and a frozen sample this month. Has anybody had any luck with this?
Tell them we give you 100% permission to stay! Hope things work out for you! You are always a pleasure on the board here and I enjoy reading your posts!
Thanks for the info. I would move tomorrow. We went to Oregon last year and I really like the US and the people (well most anyway). It is just a little matter of getting permission to stay which is what we are working on.
Come on and move to NC - you will love it! We really have fairly decent weather. We do have our mornings that start in the 20s but generally warm up to 40 and then we've had several weeks in Jan/Feb with 60 degree days. The only thing that makes me crazy is the mosquitos. They tend to love me for some reason - haven't figured that one out yet - so if you're on the deck or front porch - I always have a citronella candle burning - they aren't unbearable - just annoying.
We usually have an early spring - matter of fact with the 60 degree days we've had - a few of my plants are already starting to show their green coming back up. Of course I am sure we will have a few more cold days before we have the official spring.
There isn't a lot of difference I don't think between NC and VA -- I think they get more snow than we do - but temperature wise - I think we're pretty close all the way around.
NC is really a gorgeous state though! Come and visit us!!
