Hi Ladies,

Betty 19 follicles, wohow hope to hear some good news soon from you.

Sandra, what can I say go for it girl!!!! keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am cd 8 and not having much hope anymore.

Just a little question Betty, off topic, what is the climate like in NC, like winter and summer and is there much difference with Virginia? Looking into possible moving. And what is the bug situation like?

Hope you ladies have a lovely weekend.

Sandra -- I'm doing the BFP dance for you right now praying for the best! That is wonderful news about the EWCM though!!!

VA -- I am 44 - will be 45 in November and I have my TR 05/17/07. The ultrasound they did on Thursday was to check and see how many follicles that I had. My RE stated that the BC is just a short cycle just to balance my system and then next Friday we go back for instructions on how to use the meds and she will give us more details.

I am nervous in so many respects and then over anxious in others. Trying to find a happy medium for it all. The working out that I am doing each day has helped me tons! I feel better about how I am looking and I know I am getting healthier as well.

Will keep you updated as I go. You can reach me too at my username at gmail.

Hope everyone is doing well. It's sunny here in NC - not too warm but at least no rain or snow. I am soooooooooo ready for spring so I can be out in the garden working - that is the ultimate therapy for me!

Hope everyone has an incredible weekend! Will check back in with you guys later!

Take care!

Hello Mercy, yes try the OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kits) They will tell you when you are about to ovulate.

Betty maybe I wasnt paying attention but what is your age? Good luck and the BC is taken for how long? I dont get it? You had 19 follies and they didn't do anythying with these? They just wanted to see how many you could produce? We may need to do a side bar for this one. LOL

I live in VA and I'm 40; hence the name.

Good morning ladies.

Dr. Monteith I did see the blog. It was very interesting and informative. Thank you.

Betty congratulations on the weight loss. Wow! 19 follicles. Sounds like you may be looking at a BFP soon. Hope everything goes well with your IVF cycle.

Emmie our cycle got cancelled. To many eggs and Dr is afraid of OHSS. Aaaah well another day in paradise. How are you doing?

Mercy have you tried doing OPK's? Usually you O 14 days before your next AF. Sorry to hear about your loss. Sending you alot of baby dust.

Caroljean I haven't seen you post in awhile. Hope you are doing good. Praying you get a BFP this cycle.

Debs, Carmencita, Michelle, Mary and Kay just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you.

As for me, IUI was cancelled and I have been a bit bummed. The pneumonia is gone and I'm feeling better. I am back to my excercise and dieting. Kind of went off the week I was sick. Anyway the IUI was our last hope. The Dr. will not do it again. He will refer me on to IVF but since our funds are depleted looks like our journey will be ending for awhile.

I am gonna still post I am just getting to the point that I am tired of trying. The last four years has taken so much out of me.

Anyway have a great weekend!

Hi VA40,

Don't mind the riding along at all. It's a new venture for us and so much to learn but will keep you posted as I go. We go next Friday for the first big step in everything. I start the BC pills tonight.

Take care!

Good Morning Ladies!!

Just wanted to share my news from my RE this morning. I had to weigh again today since it is CD3 and she was doing a follicle count. I weighed in at exactly 13 lbs less than the day she told me I was not within the guidelines for the IVF program. I have lost just a little more since last week - I feel much better and heaven knows it is doing me good to lose it!

The best part of my appointment was that I had 19 follicles. She said that number was awesome given 'my age'.. Gotta love that phrase..lol
She said an average count was 10 - so she was pleased and I am excited beyond belief.

So I start my birth control pills today and go back next Friday when my meds will be here and we start the journey.

Just wanted to share my good news with my TR sisters. No one else in the 'real' world understands that emotional ride that one is on with you TTC but I knew that you ladies would understand completely

Hope everyone else is doing well.
Will check in with you ladies shortly!
Take care all!

Afternoon Ladies!

AF found me this morning at the gym. I think she was lurking behind the stair machine which is a machine I dislike tremendously - lol

I went to tan after the gym this morning and one of the customers came in with her 2 week old baby. He was soo incredibly handsome and of course I held him. Just made the desire for having one of my own rise to the top and feel even stronger.

I have a 9AM appt Thursday with our RE for an overview of my follicles. So we shall see where we go from there.

Emmie - [Smile] sorry that AF found you too - she is a witch!

Hope everyone is doing well! Mid 40s here in NC but the sun is out so that is a plus!

Take care everyone!
Check in with you all later!

Hello,

I am 43... I don't post much on the board... but I do read a lot.

I had a MC a few months ago (Nov 2008). I didn't need a D&C, it was natural. I didn't even know I was PG... I was spotting off and on for weeks, I just thought I was having a few months of irregular periods.

Anyway, after going to the Doctor, I found out that the reversal did work. Which we were happy about... but my left tube is blocked.

Tomorrow will be CD1 for me after 37 days since my last period.

I wonder if I am O'ng later... since my days are so far apart.

Thanks for any information... Mercy123
