Becky, How did your lab and ultrasound go? I have not been on the board for over a year and decided to look in today. I am sure the past few days have been exhausting for you. Best wishes and prayers.

Good evening ladies!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! It was pretty decent weather here in NC -- yesterday was mid 60's and today about the same - we're getting ready for the mid 40's and 50's again - but what can you expect - it is winter..lol

On day 29 here -- had a little cramping a few days ago - but nothing major - I've started for the last 2 months on day 28 but I've gone as far as day 32 once before. I refuse to test...lol heaven knows I've done that before - but I am going to wait until the end of the week and if AF hasn't shown her ugly face then I will consider testing then. I am not really late - but it's that day or so that AF doesn't show up that always gives me that false sense of 'maybe, maybe, maybe.

I think too because I've just started the transitioning of my body to healthier eating habits and a regular gym workout that it may cause a day or two to be off track too. What a blessing it would be though if I had that + on the test and could detour the IVF train that we're getting ready to buy tickets for.

Anyway - enough about me --

Hope everyone else is going ok -
Sandra - your IUI is this week right? Praying for a wonderful outcome for that!!

Becky - I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a rough ride sometimes - just know that we are here for your support at anytime!

Anita - hope you are doing well also. I showed my youngest daughter who will be 12 in just a few weeks your sons picture and she said - I need a cute little brother like that.. [Smile]

Emmie - hope you are doing ok in the UK! Keeping you in my thoughts also!

Kay - if you still read the post - know that we miss you tremendously. Hoping that everything is ok with you. Your strength and knowledge always amaze me - hoping that you and your family are all well!

Michele, Chris & Carmencita - hope you ladies are all well and life is being good to you!!

Miss you all posting here. Drop in and say hello and let us know how you are all doing!

Take care everyone!
Back to the gym tomorrow and my regular routine!

Hi Ladies,

Betty well done on the weight loss and in just 3 weeks, thats awesome. Hope it works out for you.

Sandra man that is bad luck catching pneumonia, hope you feel better soon. Stay in bed this weekend with lots of hot drinks and books and the tv and hopefully you will feel better on Monday. Good luck on Monday!!

Anita I could not believe when I read the story about the octuplets, how could this have happened? Her mum was quoted as saying 'why did she do this we only live in a 3 bedroom house and I have to look after the other 6 already'. I can only say it takes all sorts.

Becky I am sorry. As you say though the silver lining is you know you can get pg.

Hope everybody else is doing fine. Chris, Linda, Carmencita, Kay, Michelle let us know how you are.

Hi everyone, wish I had better news, but it doesn't look its going to work out for me this time. HCG was 107 on Tuesday and fell to 40 today. Doctor says its probably a natural miscarriage. Although I'm disappointed, I know at least that pregnancy is now possible and this definitely gives me hope where before the TR I had none. Thanks for all of the good advice and well wishes.

Happy weekend ladies.

Well I am on my 4th follistim injection. I am only getting a nagging headache. To top it off I also got pneumonia my left lung and I have been pretty sick. I did get a shot of antibiotics yesterday and some cough syrup with codeine for the pain. That shot did wonders. The Dr. says it shouldn't affect my IUI. I'll be going for my first round of tests monday. Hope I get some good news.

Betty I hope everything works out for you. Congratulations on the weight loss. That is awesome. Hope to hear some good news in the near future from you.

Anita I am also very angry about the octuplets. Those poor babies. It takes two psychos (The RE and Nadya) to do something so ill conceived. How in the world did she get IVF done? I heard she saved her disability. OMG! Now she has 14 children, no home and no job. To think, all I wanted was one baby. So sad.

Amamy4me congratualtions. I pray everything goes well and you have a wonderful nine months. It is so cool to see ladies over 40 get a BFP.

Becky it sounds like things are going well. I'll keep you in my prayers and please don't hesitate to post. I promise I find enjoyment from women over 40 getting a BFP. It just gives me renewed hope. Hope you are doing well.

Caroljean, hope you are doing well. You are always in my prayers. A special HUG to you.

Ladies, have a great Valentines Day!

Good Morning Ladies,

I've been reading faithfully every day checking on my TR sisters [Smile]

Glad to see everyone is ok!

Anita - your lil' guy is gorgeous! Don't ever hesitate to post here! I for one am happy as can be that you were able to get pregnant and have a healthy lil' one! You give inspiration to all of us here on the journey and by no means are you not welcome here! [Smile]

Sandra - so happy to hear that you and DH are doing ok also. I am hoping that IUI will be what you need to grab the BFP by the horns and not let go!

Becky - welcome to the thread and congrats! Hoping that this is a keeper and you have a healthy and happy 9 months!

Carol Jean - hope you are doing ok also!

Emmie - Sounds like your weather is confused too - not sure if it should be cold or not..lol

Here in NC we've had 60+ degrees all week and this week we're not making it out of the 40's for a high! Go figure!

Well I went back to my RE yesterday to 'weigh in'. I've been busting my butt at the gym for the last 3 weeks and eating right -- I've lost 11.2 lbs. I weighed in yesterday and was in the 'guidelines' for her program. I am supposed to start probably this weekend of the first of the week - so I wanted to weigh in before I get that wonderful 2 or 3 lbs that I always tend to pickup during my wonderful AF time. So I will go back within the first 3 days of AF so that an ultrasound can be done to check my follicles and then we proceed from there. It's taken forever to get to this point it seems. I want to be so extremely excited and deep down I am -- just cautious on the other side in case we hit a roadblock along the way!

My daughter is home sick today with a tummy virus - I kept her from school today so she could recoup and get over this! I hate it when they are sick [Frown]

Michele, Kay, Carmencita, Chris - miss you guys~

Well back to cleaning and disinfecting from the stomach bug!

Talk to you ladies later!
Take care!

Sandra, I'll be thinking of you. I know how stressfull it all is. As far as the octuplets go, it just makes me so darned angry...the whole situation.

Becky, let us know asap. And keep in mind that early monitoring is exactly that...early. Situations may be different for different babies. We did IVF, and the embies were slow growers, but one of them was strong, and that's what mattered.

Hey Becky!
I am 41 had Tr at 39 in Sept 2007, I have been pregnant 3 times the first 2 were miscarriages one very early on within days of my BFP and the other at 16 weeks last June. I just got my BFP on 2/2 I have a u/s scheduled for today and my LMP was 1/6. Try not to worry too much like the others have said it sometimes takes a little while to see soemthing on the u/s.

Thanks everyone for replying. I wasn't given my first set of numbers on Tuesday, but am scheduled this morning for followup bloodwork and ultrasound. Will find out then what the first numbers were and hopefully the second set of numbers this afternoon. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all of the support.

Hello ladies.

Becky you can't see anything with a U/S unless your HCG #'s hit 1500 and above. Some ladies don't see anything until around 2500. Congratulations and have a H&H nine months,

Anita my IUI is scheduled for February 20. I started follistim Tuesday CD 3. I am prying for the best but expecting the worse. If it doesn't work onto IVF.

Speaking of IVF I was thinking maybe octuplets. LOL I must say everything was ethically and morally wrong with that situation. To think that I would feel blessed just have one. Oh well!!

Anyway ladies have a wonderful day!

Becky, what were your numbers?

Sandra, when is your IUI again? I have a terrible memory. Keep your hopes up...they do work for some people.

The HCG calculator is a great tool. Also, please be sure to follow our Early Pregnancy Monitoring Protocol.
Keep us updated on your progress and be sure to call to office if you have any questions at all.
