My wedding is in 3 1/2 short weeks. We've been going back and forth on trying one more time. I'm 42 soon to be 43 in October.
Some days I'm all for it, some days I'm happy with what we have.
I do want this IUD removed though. While its worked fine, I think some of my problems liked messed up AF and UTI have something to do with it. My FSH was 9 last time I checked
I've lost another 10lbs - working with a trainer for the last two months. Lost the last 5-6 inch off my waist. Its a 29" waist again. Woo Hoo...After Becca was born I started with a 37" waist.
So I'm physically ready, just not sure mentally. The saga continues - who knows, my body might be done anyway.
Still reading about everyone all the time. I'll let you know if we are going to jump back in and give it a try.

I'd begin by having blood work done. Speak to your OB/GYN. I'm sure you realize that 47 is on the edge of menopause for a lot of women. FSH and LH levels may give you some idea of where you stand, along with estradiol and progesterone. You can send these results to CH and get their thoughts also. If I were you, I don't know that I would have a TR.

I am 47 and thinking about getting a TR. My DH has 4 DDs. The youngest is 19. I have 2 DD and 1 DS. My kids range from 31-26. I had my TL in 1983. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid I've waited too long to get a TR.

Julia, congrats to you and DH. The crying could be a good sign that your hormones are up there. I broke into tears at a dancing dog....my children still laugh at me.
Have not posted in a while. Got TR April 08, BFP March 09 and MC in April 09. Was devastated and almost gave up hope as I am 42. Fate spared me and gave me a BFP again last month. All seems to be going right this time. I feel good but want to cry all the time. Still in shock I think. Hope this one "sticks". Please send good vibes to myself and DDH, would appreciate.

Well this is a new phase for me. I just started BBT, charting, and checking CM. I can actually say, "This is fun!" LOL
So now we are TTC w/FM, BBT, checking CM, and using an online charting system. It's really cool to see how they all coincide on the chart. I started about 2 days before O and actually caught it. Whew!
It has been quiet in here, so I thought to share and open the window a little, let some air in.
Cheers and blessings to 40+!!! And baby dust showers to all! Denise

Hi ladies I haven't been on the boards in a long time but I do read them.I had my tr on 7-25-08. I had one pg right after tr which ended in miscarriage bleed for 21 days and they finally had to do D&C. We tried for months with no bfp and I went for hsg 1st one said both tubes blocked 2nd one said Rt blocked and Lt dye goes through slowly and has a hydrosalpinex (water in tube).I am sending DR,B my HSG it I gonna take @ 3wks to do.Still ttc just wanted to ask about soyisoflavones is that like real soy and if so I thought to much soy crates to much estrogen in older women which makes it harder to conceive that is what my ob Dr said. Can you tell me what the HCG does I am willing to try anything I am getting about 8 herbs that is suppose to help with unblocking and taking the swelling down on your tubes sorry for the book I just turned 44 in may my fsh and all those test were good so I am still trying to stay possitive.

Hi all, sorry to barge in, but I wanted to see if anyone has kept in touch with Kay? We are looking into IVF in Europe and if I'm not mistaken, that's where she went. I just had a few questions for her.

The homeopathic HCG comes in liquid form. It is taken for three to four days before ovulation and then stopped once you ovulate. I take the FEM-B every day as a supplement. I used the HCG to lose some weight and now I am trying it for pregnancy.
I have a website where I sell it. I have had a few women tell me they became PG after taking it so I thought maybe I might be a testiment to my own site. You can take a look at homeopathichcgdotnet. I have more info on it there.
I heard about the soy and I thought it couldn't hurt. Natural clomid, natural HCG and extra vitamin B, I figured what the heck might as well confuse my hormones a little more. LOL

Sandra, Homeopathic HCG? Any particular brand? And what does HCG do for you? I read that you want the levels to be such and such during PG, but taken as a supplement before PG? Do tell, do tell.
I am starting soy either today or tomorrow. I am going for the late dosage for 1 mature follicle. Experimentation.
I don't like taking a lot of stuff, but I will try a little of this or that.

Denise I understand how DH feels. It is not so hard on me or my DH anymore but I guess after all those years of AF showing up you start becoming immune.
I thought I would try soy isaflavones. I mean at this point what could it hurt. I am also taking the FEM-B which extra vitamin B and homeopathic HCG. After all my tests coming out good just thought I would give it a good shot.
If it doesn't work, oh well. At least I give myself an A for effort. LOL
