Ok, Sandra, I am going to help you break the silence here.
I too, am going to start on the soy isoflavones, it is worth a try. Today is CD3 and the day is over so I will have to start tomorrow for my 5 days.
Feeling a little "old" today. Blah. AF and heat probably. DH is a little sad/depressed because AF keeps showing, but I tell him, "Well, it gives me more time to lose a few more pounds." (Mantra: Be positive, be positive, be positive.)

Okay, our thread has been really quiet lately.
I am on CD 3 today and have been using the FEM-B for three months but I also went out and bought soy isaflavones and will start my first dose tonight. I will take the HCG from CD 10 until I O and I guess I'll wait and see what happens.
For some reason this month seems to be a good month to at least give one serious shot at the baby thing. If it doesn't work...........Aaaaah well then I know I tried everything I possibly could in the 4 years I've been TTC.

Kim, Thanks for the heads up. I read up on SHG but I don't think that looks into the tubes. I was told that I was allergic to a dye they gave me for my head injury, Omnipaque, and not to eat shell fish or iodized salt etc. Strange though, I have eaten shell fish and never had a reaction. I was craving oysters and sardines last month and noticed that I started to have post nasal drip and my sinuses clogged within 10 min of having the oysters. Ah well, live and learn.

Denise, Just let your Doctor know about the Iodine allergy when they schedule your HSG. I am also allergic to Iodine and they placed me on a medication protocal to prep for the test. I just made sure that Everyone that I talked to, the doctor, the scheduling nurse, the hospital all knew about the allergy. I didn't have any problems with it at all. Best of Luck to you all! Kim

Sandra, Thanks for the input on the HSG. I have an appt in early Aug. Check for any uterine prolapse, urethra prolapse, order FSH, E2. I will have to look into an SHG instead of HSG though, because I am allergic to the Iodine Dyes. Trying to cover my bases.
Using Clear Plan/Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. 2nd peak day was yesterday. We BD every other day, but did 2 days in a row just before 1st peak day. Now in 2WW, but I don't post in there because I don't want to get my hope up too high. Just going along singing my song, waiting to see what happens.
I love the fact that I actually have a REAL libido that escalates right around peak days. This hasn't happened in YEARS! At least my DH isn't being sexually frustrated anymore. That is a positive. Breasts are very tender yesterday and more so today. I don't recall feeling breast tenderness at all in the past 8 years since TL.

Hi Ladies can I join your thread as I feel empathy with you all, I haven't posted on the website for a while as I had given up.
I am 41 had my TR done Dec 08 then after one AF in Jan they ceased and hot flashes developed! I had my FSH checked in Mar which was 90, yes yikes! After shedding numerous tears decided to give up as my doc said I was menopausal and she didn't hold out much hope.
Then the last 2 months I have had what I think was a very light AF but am experiencing spotting after BD so have seen a gyny who has run tests for cause of this but is also going to check my FSH and other hormones to see what is going on, so am hopeful again and might now depending on the results look into fertility help. I am not up to speed with the drugs you ladies mention on here but they sound like they can help. I suppose I have been a bit of a coward as I struggle with the disapointment of the BFP's all the time, but can't get away from the fact that I would love a DS/DD with my new hubby and although alot more mature this time round have far more time and patience than I did when I was younger with my DD's.
Dr Monteith thinks my ovary may have picked up some tranient dysfunction as a result of the surgery as he removed a dermoid cyst from it at the same time as TR and that it may just be starting to regenerate and function, fingers crossed.
Anyway I feel for you all and reading your posts makes me feel not alone in this quest
We had a wonderful 4th of July. A BBQ with all the fixings and then we walked down to the harbor to watch the firework show.
The metformin side effects are finally over but I don't think I O'd. No sore BB's or anything, but it feels nice not to be nauseated, fatigued and painful breasts. You would think that sounds like PG symptoms, but I would get that every month. I actually feel really good and it has to be the metformin. I almost feel renewed.
Caroljean how are you doing? How was your weekend? I feel so bad because 15 months of TTC is heartache. I know how you feel.
Denise how are you doing? You can't really tell if you have a blocked tube only through an HSG. They can reopen it but my tubes have been open so I have no experience with that. Have you had an HSG? Hope you had a wonderful 4th.

Denise, this is definitely an emotional rollercoaster on the TTC journey. Especially for us over 40 ladies. I have been TTC for 15 months now and the only thing I can say is the disappointment gets slightly more bearable each month that passes. I still cry, but not as much. I still get my hopes up, but not as much. But I am still at it, for sure. DH just turned 30, and he is feeling "old"....boy he doesnt know the half of it! But I am still betting on my steel uterus and my cervix like a trap door.... just need to get a fertilized egg in there implanted and I am confident it will all work out! Keep up the faith!

Okay, I had an emotional meltdown today. I was stressing, worried, anxious, and everything else all rolled into one. On the phone forever trying to get an appt and got hung up on. I was stressing because I think I have a prolapsed uterus and cervix...which will not help at all to get my BFP. I melted and called DH at work, he talked to me and we prayed together over the phone. He told me to go lie down for 15 min and just be quiet and let the Lord love me through this moment. (deep breath) All better now. OB/GYN is booked through July so I have to wait til the calender for Aug is up in order to get an appt for first week of Aug.
Patience, trust, faith.

Yeah my soon to be 16 DS is learning that mom is right the hard way. He went to an all night get together with our church and about 300 other teens from churches in the area. I told him to come home in the morning to get some sleep before going to the church/teen bonfire next night. Did he listen? Oh no, of course not. "Mom I will be alright. I took a nap and we need to get a firepit." The poor kid didn't make it through to the end of the bonfire because he was feeling so sick due to lack of sleep, water/hydration, and not enough nutrition...now this. LOL [God, please help my DS to "honor and obey his parents so that all will go well with him."Amen.]
Time to get up out of this bed, yes I am lying in bed which I very seldom do, and go swimming. Need that exercise. Wanna be healthy to increase our chances of BFP!!!
??? BTW, how can you tell if a tube is blocked or has closed up after TR, and how is the tube reopened? I have read some posts that the tubes had to be reopened.
Hope everyone is doing well. The metformin has been great in a sense I am losing weight and it also stopped my craving foods. Lost 8 pounds in the past week. Wow! Tha downfall is the side effects. Nausea diarrhea, hoping it will go away soon.
Elderpb good luck on the 15 pounds. I hate excercising but I try once in awhile. What part of Cali are you from? I just moved from the Modesto area last year to Texas. I love it here.
Denise teenagers.......What would you do without them? My three sons always think they know it better than their parents. I guess they can't see we do have words of wisdom since we were once their age. Just wait til they grow up and have kids just like them. LOL
Well it's that time again. Woooooork!! Have a great day.

It is so funny, I was such an exercisoholic and now I have to force myself to do something. I lost my gumption, but I get up and go. My lower abd doesn't hurt anymore, I was able to do a small plank today and I got my ball out. I enjoy doing stuff on my ball while I watch a good movie, but I would rather be reading a good book or crocheting down on the beach under an umbrella.
Today was a tough day. My teen DS didn't listen to mom and dad about putting on sunscreen and a shirt when he was cleaning our pool. Well he got a pretty bad burn on his upper back and shoulders and, of course, mom had to suffer with him today. Nothing was working for the intense, insane, itching he was having. I finally put fresh aloe vera gel on his back with a few drops of lavender essential oil and that is the only thing that made it tolerable. I also gave him 600mg Ibuprofen and then found a site from Shriner's Hospital in TX and they give burn victims Benadryl for the pruritis/itching. Thank God that he was able to nap and is now sleeping soundly.
I found out so many good uses for aloe vera. DH and I are going to start taking 2-4oz. daily in our morning power smoothie. I haven't read anything about fertility, but heck who knows.
I am 44 and will be 45 by the time I have the surgery. I have about 15 pounds I must lose and am going to take swimming lessons starting next week so that I can start that as a form of exercise. I live in N. Cal and its 107 today, so swimming is the thing to do

Oh my gosh Caroljean that sounds very good. A temp rise is always a plus. The Dr. said metformin usually clears up the cysts. They usually use BCP for functioning cysts which mine ar just polycystic from being a diabetic.
I am so hopeful for you this cycle. I got one BFP using clomid the month of my HSG but I did m/c. I am so praying that this is it for you!

Those are good numbers Sandra - definitely something to work with. Does doing a cycle of b/c help with PCOS? I know they will do that in the case of a couple of cysts, but didn't know about multiple. I have been on the metformin for 3 months for the insulin resistance and I have noticed my hormone levels must be increasing, which is good, so it is working. Hopefully it will help with the PCOS as well. Once you get under control maybe do clomid with it, since it seems to work well for PCOS women. Good luck and I hope things are going in an upward direction for you....and yes, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
As for me, I am 11 dpo and my temp actually went up today, when usually they begin to decline for AF by now. Other than the typical sore boobs and excessive cm, not much to talk about. I had the lap / hsg at the start of this cycle (CD2) and have done clomid and metformin, so hopefully something is working in there! Wish me luck that I get good news in a few days!
