Caroljean- I conceived within days of the lap. Unfortunately I lost the baby. During the procedure the doctor also scraped my uterus (for insurance purposes).....which backfired and caused a huge litigation mess.....so without a thick lining to feed the little one, I miscarried.

Congratulations Carol! Wow, I can't wait until people say that to me! (My names Carol too!)
Linda...how soon after your lap did you conceive? I heard that many get their BFP soon after. I've got my fingers crossed (but not my legs of course! LOL)

Hello Ladies has been awhile, but wanted to share some exciting news. I got a positive HPT today. I will be 41 next week and I had my TR 9-10-07 and got my first BFP on January of 2008 and had my beautiful daughter who is 8 months now 10-01-08. So this will be TR baby #2, and will make my children total count of 6. Going tomorrow for blood test and first numbers and then again on Monday then on the 8th of June I have my ultrasound. Praise God. Baby Dust to all and please keep us in your prayers for a healthy normal 9 months.

Congrats Caroljean for that great news. Here's to happy healing and God's love, you never know....miracles do happen.
Heck, I got pregnant at age 43 with NO fimbria (as the OB cut off BOTH fimbria when he did my TL) and still managed to get pregnant (miscarried mind you) but that was more because I didn't know I was pregnant and at my age, my progesterone was low and too late by the time I knew I was pregnant (4 weeks) to take it to get my levels high enough.

Hello to all - I had my laproscopic surgery yesterday and my RE was able to remove ALOT of scar tissue and adhesions on my bowels and tubes. They are finally "free flowing" like they should be. Plus he did the dye test and both tubes flowed well through the inside as well. So seems everything is in working order. Now if I can just get a couple mature eggs then everything should work out. HOPEFULY! Of course I woke up this morning feeling like I had been punched, kicked and stabbed in a bar fight....waiting for the percoset to kick in! Looks like we've had some birthdays around here lately. I am glad I got married on my birthday two years ago (7/7/07) So now I only have anniversaries on that day - no more birthdays! LOL
Take care everyone..... we "mature moms" need our BFPs too!

Hi Michele, Best to you on your new journey in home schooling. This was our 6th year at it and I wouldn't trade it for anything. My children are getting an excellent education with no garbage input. My youngest did 2nd & 3rd grade this year, next is my 5th grader, and finally my sophomore in high school.
I just had my TR on 5/13/09, 2 weeks post op tomorrow.
Have been off the board for some time but was on the Winter TR thread before. Decided to stay away as I was coming to terms with going into menopause a month after my TR in Dec 08, yes real bummer couldn't believe it. But had my blood checked and definately am and as I haven't had a monthly since Jan reaffirmed this. Am 40, 41 next month so guessed I should have had some chance of concieving again but am afraid it is not to be. I chickened out of seeking further advice or avenues as I couldn't bear to go down another route only to face disapointment again. So have come to terms that my TR journey is over. Doesn't help though that 2 of my closest girlfriends have just anounced their 2nd pregnancies, they are 10 years younger than me so suppose that helps too. Anyway just wanted to say hi.

I just thought I would pop in and say hi to everyone. I guess, for me, the only option was to stay away as after my miss... I just couldn't handle the emotional pain anymore. DH & I went through an extremely rough patch in our marriage and we are working our way through. Tax season always keeps me busy & not thinking, :-).
> I sincerely hope you are all doing well. Now that I reached the ripe old age of 46 this past March, I can rest easy I am done. I leave my job this June to be a f/t stay at home mom that is going to home-school as well. I have my "big" girl Joy is now going on 7 wow... This transition will really allow me to enjoy her my last sweetie at home.
>To my dear fellow in arms.. Sandra, Kay, dear sweet Kay, Emmie, Carmencita, CarolJean... to the newbies welcome and I pray your journey is short.

Hey ladies just wanted to drop in and say Happy Memorial Day!
Well, just when I thought I could come to this board and not face a "DUE IN" thread I see one. I always come to the age and reversal because I don't have to have it slapped in my face that I am not pregnant after 4 years. Maybe I am just anal but I think that thread should be in "AFTER TUBAL REVERSAL".
Anyway just wanted you all to have a safe and happy holiday as I am thinking of you.
Just dropped into say hello! Yesterday was my 2 yr anniversary of my TR. We are off to round #2 of IVF - we will do egg retrieval Wednesday and then if everything goes well, we will do the embryo transfer Fri or Sat.
RE did a different protocol this time and hopefully we have a better angle on it this time. Taking all of the stims has my body a bit haywire - can we say hormonal???
Hope everyone else is doing well - It's been quiet on the board lately!
Sandra - saw your new web site --- Congrats on that and best of luck!!!
Emmie - so glad we have finally connected via email Hope you are doing well also!!!
Anita - I bet your lil' guy is growing up a storm -- it seems that we wait for them forever and then once they're here - they start growing way too fast...lol
FertileMyrtle - welcome to the forum - this site is a great deal of info and you will find a great source of support - just when you may need it the most.
Carmencita, Michele, CarolJean, and the rest of our TTC over 40 group - hope you ladies are taking care of yourself and having a great week!
Talk to you soon! Betty 44 (THAT age) lolol TR 05/17/07
