well, here i go. i went to see the re on thursday and on my next af we will call to get the hsg scheduled to make sure the one short (3cm) tube is, infact, open. she highly recommended ivf since she said that 4cm was normally required for any functionality. i was very discouraged and kinda lost it thursday so have not been online much. i know that many say all you need is one tube, but i only have one tube, one very short tube. dh was hopeful at trying ivf but as with anything else the wait is 6 mos so we can keep trying for the next 6 mos and then will see. i figure its all in God's hands (as it always has). i have been pretty religious on the temping/opking/bding and dh sa is great. so, i need to pick up my spirits once again. my temps haven't dropped yet this month and i have a few testing buddies for the 30th, but i am not as hopeful as i have been in past months. i will just wait it out and whatever happens, happens. good luck to all of you and baby dust for all!!! still prayin' for a miracle!!!

I'd love to know how to find out where your tubes are 'put back together' also--maybe I'll ask the nurse when she calls later...that could be useful information.

Yes, this is something I found out later from my RE when he reviewed the op note from Dr. B. That was the first I learned of it. Nothing was ever said to me by Dr. B. other than they are very short. Sorry it took me so long to answer. I don't visit this board much anymore:(

kelb, How did you find out your tubes were put together in a bad spot and you have little chance of pregnancy? I am only asking because I have short tubes as well and Dr B never told me anything like that. He said the tubes are short but you are fertile again. Is this something you found out later and that I may need to check into? It has been 15 months and NO pregnancy not even one so I am hoping all is ok with my tubes. Thanks in advance.

FYI---I also have a short tube, 2cm, and it also depends very much on WHERE the tubes were put back together(at what point within the tube). Unfortunately for me, mine is at an awful spot and there is practically NO chance of pregnancy:( Good luck!!

Thank you for the support--you're right-short tubes are better than no tubes! My chin is up. I genuinely feel like God led us to this decision, to this place--I refuse to believe that we've followed down a road that won't lead to success.

She's right, short and open is better than nothing. We've had a lot of successful conceptions with short tubes. Take it easy tonight and get some rest, I'll see you around 9:00 in the morning!

Hello everyone-I had my TR today and all went good. Just had to come down and search for some support. My tubes were on 2cm after surgery so statistics are not as good--
