Trish,

If you have the time available, I would take a week off.

I am now 38. I had my TR when I was 34, got pregnant at 35 and delivered at 36. My son will be 2 in April. We are now trying for TR baby#2. I will be at least 39 before I have another, if not older!

Read the pregnancy reports each week and you will see that many women 40 and over are on the list each time.

Best of luck,

Jo Ann

Trish 37 is not old I had my TR at 36 my DD is 18 in college and my DS ia my baby he is 12........I had good feedback on my TR from both sodes of my family and friends. But if someone was to tell me I am too old blah blah I would tell them is none of their bizniz and they are not buying my pampers and etc. When they do pay any of my bills then they will have a say so in my TR.....sorry sometimes you have to put people in their place. Its your life follow your heart.............

Trish, I haven't had my TR yet but I read a lot of people only take a week or so off (if you ahve a desk job with no heavy lifting). I am 36 and ppl think I am crazy too. I see lots of women older than us doing it, my mother had children until she was 42. If it's what you want go for it. I am, I don't care if people think I am crazy, I love children and I think I am a good mother and that is what counts. Good luck to you.

Trish, I don't think 37 is too old, if you feel you are physically, mentally and financially able to care for a child. What other people doesn't matter; it's not their life or their child. As far as time off work, I'm not sure. When I had my TL done I was only our of work for 3 days (I had a desk job and didn't have to be up moving around a lot).
