Call Julia or one of the gals and find out how to send your info to Dr. Berger. I had a lady (one of the ladies here) who had such damage that Dr. B suggested LAP before surgery, as her info was from her TL. When he did the lap, he found that it WAS correctable and reversed her TL. That man has miracle hands, I'm telling you! Send you're info and see what they say. You won't be losing anything, now will you?
Unfortunately, we hear this very frequently. When a doctor does not perform tubal reversal surgery frequently (many procedures weekly), the slightest surprise or difficulty may seem daunting and tubal repair is not attempted. Dr. Berger has been performing tubal surgery for over 30 years and limits his practice to tubal reversal surgery. Because of this, he has seen almost every scenario and few situations surprise him.
Please feel free to fax your records to us at 919-967-8637 and include all contact information.

Definately get those reports to Dr Berger!I too went to a RE that performs both IVF and TR and of course he said I was an ideal candidate for IVF.I underwent 2 cycles to the tune of $15,000.00 and then he suggested I let him do a TR!Well needless to say I refused and went straight to the best TR surgeon I could find and thank God I did,I now have a beautiful, healthy, baby boy thanks to God and Dr Berger Hang in there hon and don't give up.You know what they say,it isn't over til it's over! Dr. B also does his own lap, if you are interested ~ in case something was really done wrong and he can't read it... You know, I didn't have the lap done but he did my TR in March, and I had my HSG is Sept and my tubes are both wide open and my OB/GYN (who also has a PhD from Duke University) said that Dr. B did "an excellent job." I couldn't have had better care. Coming up with the cash isn't easy, and it took me about 4 years, but it was so worth it!
(By the way, I also suspect ulterior motives when Dr.'s that have a LOT to gain from IVF find that you wouldn't be a good candidate for TR).

HI I have been lurking here for a while I am Linda 38 from NE florida I had a local repro surgeon who was to attempt a reversal because my insurance covered it to be done here and I went in for a lap and when I woke up the nurses told me that the doctor could not do the reversal for who knows what reson too damaged or adhesions or I don't know what she wasn't sure~he did go out to the waiting room and explain a lot of mumbo jumbo to my husband and gave us 2 sheets of pictures but I cannot tell my ovary from my earlobe I know I had a cautery and those are hard to reverse but the doc here who did my lap is a big ivf doc and I can't help but wonder if he just did not even want to try because he is quick to suggest ivf~I am going to try to send my lap photos and my tl report to Dr. Berger because my op report from my tl says he only cauterized 2 cms in the center of the tube but according to the doc here in Jacksonville it could not be reversed! I am heartbroken and just in need of some feedback sorry for rambling on!!
