Hey Tessa,
It is true that once you get a + that is your first day of ovulation (dpo). Mine was always lighter then the control bar but it seemed to be the only + I would get the entire month so I went with that. I have just now started to chart on FF (yesterday) so lets hope I can figure that out soon lol.

Christbride...I read that too and I died laughing b/c when it got down to 8-10DPO I realized that was me this week LOL. I litterly watched those HPT's all day long yesterday and today thinking at some point it would change or I would hold it up to the light thinking it was just a very faint line that my old eyes couldnt see LOL. I am NUTS haha.

i read this on another thread and about pee'd in my clothes from laughing..

Don't worry too much about all this TTC - it will come easier as time goes by. You are not alone in your frustration - we are all in the same boat.

The cycle goes like this:
CD1 - Denial that you are actually at CD1 - AGAIN.
CD2-5 - coming to terms with a new cycle, depression subsides.
CD6-12 - Excited about upcoming ovulation - obsess about OPK's and worry constantly that you 'missed' it.
CD13-Ovulation - still worrying about 'missing' it, BD like crazy, fight with DH when he cannot BD anymore.
1DPO - settle in for the 2 week wait. It is too early to feel anything so you get some housework done.
2-4 DPO - Still too early but you are thinking of signs to think of on 5DPO
5DPO - breasts hurt, crying spells, checking cervix every 10 minutes, checking breasts every 5 minutes to see if they hurt, decide to check them more often and surprise they begin to hurt.
6DPO - sure that implantation has occured you begin to watch the HPT sit on the counter in the bathroom. It is too early...you will not test.
7DPO - if you test and it is negative you can throw it away and noone will know! You test and study the 'lines' all day long hoping you can stare one into existence. Rip test apart to get a better look!
8-10DPO - still peeing on sticks, convinced sticks are plotting against your attempts at TTC and go out to buy another more friendly brand. Settle on one of those +/- tests.
11DPO - take +/- test and watch all day until a faint + appears 10 hours later. Excited - tell EVERYBODY!
12DPO - no + today. Decide it is still too early, start to get depressed. Still convinced you have morning sickness.
13 DPO - unmistakable signs of AF mistaken for pregnancy, some spotting, convinced it is left over from implantation.
14 DPO - heavy bleeding, heavy depression, still take the last HPT just to be sure. Some people bleed when they are pregnant right?
CD1 - Denial..............

Gwen and Lori, thank you for the information. Is it correct that one is considered 1dpo once the opk is +? I thought I read that on a thread. I use the ANSWER brand opk and I barely get a control line on the stick, much less a + line. Maybe I need to change? According to FF, I ovulation should occur tomorrow. I miss read it the other day, thought it said I ovulate today. Anyway, thanks for your help!

Tessa
