Congrats ATHENA!! He sounds beautiful! I can't wait for pics! I had a feeling all that walkin was going to get him here a little early! I'm so happy for you! And so our thread has started having their babies!! WOOHOO!!!
Shirley and Tanya, you guys are next! Shirley, hang in there. Sounds like you are having all sorts of stuff going on! Not too much longer and you'll be done and holding your little one too
Lori, you are a shopper! You need to rub off on me a bit because I've barely bought anything! I'll be running around right before I have him trying to get everything LOL
Michelle, how are you and those great big babies!? LOL!! We're almost done, thats what I keep telling myself too!
Karen, change away. All of my kids had different names after I had them than what I had originally planned for. Its a big decision! I had an easy one this time because it was the only boy name that I like! We put my DH's middle name with it and that was it. Period!
How's everyone else doing?
I had to take the 3 hour glucose test because I failed the 1 hour. I don't have GD!!! Yay, but I'm in the threatened section of the chart so I'm supposed to watch my carb intake. There are days I don't even eat so I dont know what to cut back on?? I eat strawberries a lot, surly thats not a problem!?? The polyhydramnios is still there, still doing the NST's twice a week. So far the baby is tolerating the extra fluid very well. If or when he can't they will take a needle and start pulling some of the fluid out. I have another u/s next Tuesday and I can't wait to see how much he's grown! He was only 2.4 at 27 weeks so I am hoping now that he is over 3 lbs or close to 4. I feel like he's grown a lot over the last 3 weeks!

Hi everyone. Well, were one step closer to being prepared for the baby. We bought a travel system today. I'm a thrifty shopper but I couldn't help spending the extra money on a nice one, we just didn't like anything else and we went with the not so expensive crib, so we felt we could spend a little more on this. Having it here and learning to use it was a whole new experience....its been 10 years. All we need now is a swing, pack 'n' play, a few more bottles, some burp cloths, maybe some more diapers, and then after shes bigger we'll get the high chair, and we're done. We go for a tour of the hospital Monday, we're both pretty excited about that. I'm just over 31 weeks and have been having alot of contractions lately. I am yet to be checked to see if I'm effaced or dialated. I wouldn't be surprised If I am, just hoping I'm not. We got about 6 1/2 weeks till the induction (YIKES )

Just had our carpets cleaned, we got new living room furniture (very excited). We are going to pick up the baby's changer/dresser & big comfy rocker this weekend soo excited to finish getting his room put together. We have a few more remodeling project to finish before the baby gets here. Hopefully they will be finished within the next month nothing to major, but it will be nice to have them finished. Tonight my DD school is having a Bingo night so I'm helping with that. We'll got to run & do some more laundry (fun, fun, fun)

Lori, I just saw your ? from the other day and yes I do have gd. I did with Isaiah as well and could control it with diet but this time I had to go on glyberide. So far with two small doses a day it has been controlled. The baby was measuring at 37 weeks last tues when I was 30 and 1/2 weeks. I think he is just "floating" and not really that big. I don't have near as much pressure with him as I did with Isaiah. I start non stress tests weekly next thurs and Will have a growth scan in about 3 weeks to a month. My weight gain has stalled out now and I actually lost a pound last week. I guess eating right does pay off. Shirley edd 6/15/08

Hi Michelle, Thanks for asking about me. Things are going ok so far. I go back to the dr next thurs and start the non stress tests then. I know exactly what you mean about the emotions. Mine are all over the board as well. I cry at the drop of a hat. Hang in there and keep growing those beautiful babies. Rest as much as possible. I am trying to find the energy to finish cleaning out the rest of my projects but it keeps evading me. I have 3 more closets and a yard sale to do and all of my kitchen cabinets. I have to paint the nursery and 2 small hallways. I keep telling myself tomorrow but it still isn't done. Oh well it will be eventually. Take care all!! Still no name decisions here. Michelle, You are really doing good, hang in there. You have nice fat healthy beautiful babies! The perfect kind!! It's going to all pay off! Easier said than done, I know but we have to keep telling ourselves that because we only have 8-9 weeks left. That'll fly by. And as for the house, you know I'm in the same boat as you. Our babies won't be sleeping on the floor so lets not worry so much about that. I believe our husbands will pull this out just in time! Keep the faith! Kelli Your welcome Lori...

Morning all. We have been busy mom to bes. Juanita, I know what you mean, at this point I am miserable physcially, but I will really miss feeling the babies move inside me. You dont have that much longer... glad you get to go on your vacation!
Kelli, I hope you are feeling ok... not too much longer until Boston is here.
Lori, how are you doing? Those non-stress tests are funny sometimes, we had our first one yesterday.
Shirley, hanging in there? Sounds like things are going good.
We had our first non-stress test yesterday.. I had to wait for 45 minutes to get hooked up, which did not help with the babies movements. But they both looked great, we go back Thursday morning for our second one and an ultrasound. My uterus is measuring 45 weeks, which would explain the intense back and groin pain. The dr said there is really nothing I can do for the pain excpet stop walking around. I started working from home yesterday, adn that seems like it will really help me physically. I have been crying all the time, for no good reason.. My house is a disaster area, and construction has not begun for the basement (we are still waitin gon the permit).. I cry all the time. Anyone else feeling emotional this trimester? I am so grateful for these babies, but Kelli, you know.. it is much harder this time around.
Well, gotta get DH off to work.. have a great day!
