I have pasted my FF chart to make myself more understandable. I just got my BFP and my symtoms didnt start till about 7DPO and my bb's were so sore to me they felt like they had been in pinching contest, LOL but it was painful. That only lasted a few days and then it subsided, this type of soreness was different then the usual before AF.. I had/have bad heartburn, fatigue, and mood swings and a gut feeling that I was pregnant. I tested at 12dpo but I was very very faint then again the next day and it was faint, so I waited 2 more days and then i got a good BFP with a digital one following that. I BBT charted and my temps remained high which was another good indication. I dont ever remember having any symtoms with my other 4 pregnancies before my TL but I have been told that all pregnancies are different. I was starting to worry cause my BB's were no longer sore and I called my dr. and he said it was normal to not experience any symptoms, but it is still early, I am only 4 weeks.

Hmm, I have sore breasts during normal PMS time, but for PG it has always been much more severe and includes sore/sensitive nipples. Also, this pg I felt a sort of heaviness in my lower abdomen, above my pubic area, a kind of heavy pulling or tugging. Strange yes, but I didn't really count it as a BFP symptom until after I got the BFP and then I was like "Aha!" MS doesn't kick in for me until about 6wks.

I happened to have one symptom with PG that I never had with AF and that's extremely sore BB's...not just a little sore, but don't even brush up against my shirt kind of sore. I was temping and OPKing and neither worked that month and I was fed up with the ttc stuff. I ended up pg that month with twins and what tipped me off to test was having such sore BBs. When the morning sickness started, which was also severe, putting me in the hospital, it was around 6.5 weeks. My next PG, I had no idea I was PG...I was just wondering why AF was so late...I had no symptoms at all...so maybe it was the twin PG hormones?? I don't know?
But, I can say that I too have wished so much to be PG before that I convinced myself I was PG by some impending AF symptoms...it's so sad. I wish everyone REAL PG symptoms!!

Ladies - just to interject here - as I've been doing ART for longer than I want to think about right now.
The symptoms many ladies report, can be attributed to their hormone levels. If you google estrogen or progesterone you will see that the side effects for both mimick those of pg (except for the HCG). Those who report symptoms, usually do so around 7dpo, which is when hormones are at their highest levels before beginning to drop for AF. For other ladies, it is the DROP in hormones that cause the symptoms; upset tummy, sleepiness, sore bbs, etc.
Unfortunately we werent created with turkey timers that pop out to let us know we're pg. Or see through windows to let us know when a bun really is in the oven - we can only go by what our bodies tell us and often our bodies fib!
So its not all in our heads. Its not all wishful thinking. Its another of Mother Nature's cruel jokes that PMS and PG symptoms are very much the same.

I often have sore/tingly boobs and slight nausea before AF. When I am pregnant, I don't experience nausea until at least 6-8 weeks. I don't even get a positive HPT until AF is at least 3-5 days LATE...so my only early symptom of pg is a late AF.

After my TR I had every symptom, every month, and BFN's every month. Sometimes the symptoms were so strong I could have bet I was PG. The month I recieved my BFP I did not have any symptoms.I think it has a lot to do with AF because I get really nauseous now about a week before AF, so much that Im actually scared that I might be PG.(we are not ttc). I think sometimes a woman wants to be pregnant so bad, she becomes more sensitive to her body. In fact, many early pregnancy signs are the same as AF signs - sore boobs, cramps, bloating. The HPT is based upon hcg levels, but sometimes progesterone level increases before hcg, rather than lower just before AF, which can cause mild morning sickness before hpt positive.

Well I cannot say what someone else experiences but I have never really had any symptoms until after af is suppose to show, with the first symptom being excessive pee'ing, m/s not until 8-9 weeks. It is my understanding that it is the hormones that make the symtpoms, but I guess each pg is different.

Oh I was speaking in generals...the women here are all talking about their symptoms..they have so many sypmtoms before they even get a positive. I would just think that if the hormones were high enough to cause symptoms then they would be high enough to give a positive HPT...

How can a woman experience pregnancy symptoms before she receives a BFP? I mean if she can feel sick to her stomach and her BBs can be so sore and yet she can stil be getting a BFN, why?
Isn't it hormones that cause the symptoms? If so then how and/or why?
