Lydia Grace has been rolling over since the end of May (around 4 1/2 months) but this was the first time she did it at bed time. It was right after I put her down for bed and she didn't care for it at first. Then she must have got sleepy enough that when she rolled over the second time it didn't bother her. I know most babies prefer to sleep on their stomach. Most of the older ones nap on their tummies at her daycare.
She does two naps a day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each nap can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as 2 hours - 2 hours is rare though and usually during the weekend (not as noisy as at daycare).
I know, she'll be 7 months tomorrow :-( it goes so fast! Still, she's so much fun and it just keeps getting better that I can't really complain.
I know that leaving the babies is going to hard - I hated going back to work. I wish I had the secret to make it easier.

YEAH for LG... rolling over already.. has she been rolling over alot? Its been so long I forget what a 6 month old can do.. did she wake up crying? and how many naps does she take a day? I can not believe how old she is.
Next week is my last week home full time with the babies... I keep mentioning it because I am dreading it. We might have our neighbor watch the babies for the part time days and the one full time day.. but will have to see how things go.. we also meet wiht a nanny tomorrow to see what she is like and if the hours and pay would work...say prayers.
I got a smile out of Jake yesterday, and two out of Annabelle today.. They are so big!

So last night was the first time that Lydia Grace rolled over in her sleep. At first she didn't like it and I had to help her roll over on to her back. Then she did it again but the second time she crashed. She actually slept better and longer - until 630 and skipped her 430 feeding. I still worried though about smothering and SIDS even though I know they say that once they roll over on their own you don't have to worry (as much).

Lisa - he is adorable! What a cutie! We do indeed all have adorable babies. Now, if only we could get them all together for a group picture. That would be something to send to Dr. Berger.

I read healthy sleeping habits, happy child and also 12 hrs by 12 wks. DH and I did a lot of giving paci's back and shhhhing trying to extend their feedings. I also started giving cereal in the bottle at 8 wks, I know it's a big no no but I did it with the other 3 and it really helped. By then I was so exhausted I did anything to get them to start sleeping. They actually STTN for the first time after their 2 month shots.

Lisa, what an adorable little man.. Kelli, how did you get them to sleep through the night?
We are giving the babies a bottle of formula right before bed, that lasts them about 3-4 hours... then I take turns nursing them every two hours or so through the night... that will be tough to keep up when I start back to work in a week and a half!
Any ideas on extending their sleeping? We put them to bed between 10 and 10:30... start baths around 9 or so.. jI got a couple of smiles from Annabelle this morning... too cute!

The ped told me the same thing about Ethan that once he started being upright more the spitting would just go away. Boy, I can't wait for that day to come.
What beautiful babies we all have.
I've had the trio on the same schedule since the day they came home for the hospital. DH and I had them sleeping through the night at about 9 wks so that was a tremendous help.
Well, here is a photo of my little man. This pic was taken in June. He is trying to show his teeth...too cute. I will have to post more when I get them uploaded from the camera.
I also have twins. It was so much easier getting them both on the same schedule with everything. Also one nice thing with multiples, they always have a playmate around when mom and dad are busy.
My oldest son walked at 9mo. too! The girls were just over a yr. I think Sev will be close to it by his b-day...he will be running everywhere!! More exercise, just what I need!!!

For the moms of spitter-uppers - my DD, now 8, spit up something horrible all the time after every feeding. The dr said once she starts walking - spending most of her time upright - she'd stop. And that's when it happened - luckily she was walking at 9 months!

I love all of the different ages and stages. We just got from dinner with my dad who LOVES being a grandpa again. I got a good picture of him with Lydia that I'll post later. Tonight she really discovered that rolling over is a form of transportation. She was going over and over and over until she realized she was half way across the room from me and got upset. It was too cute! Okay, I'm off for a bit of tv and then bed time!

Carly is almost 3 months old. She'll be three months next week! She's been smiling for about two weeks. She actually giggled yesterday which was funny. She's not overly noisy except during those AWFUL colic episodes. She's also started making sounds just this week, which is fun.

Michelle my Lil Man will be 5 months on the 12th of August. Your twins are so cute. I would not mine twins. I would love to have twin daughters. That way I could have me some female company in the house kinda lonely sometimes with all the males.
