I started using ovulation test strips and I had two lines last week, then they got darker. The last time that I had two lines was around CD 15. Does that mean that I ovulated on that day? The next day I only had one line. The surge is gone now. The only thing I worry about is that we BD every other day except CD 15 but we did the next morning. Does that matter???

FF gives I think a free 45 or 60 day trial...I can't remember, but I know my first cycle post TR was 44 days and it was included! I am now three cycles into and happy I paid.... I think I did the one year one time pay, it was like $30 or so. But they provide alot of information, interpretation of your cycle, etc. so I have found it is worth it. Charting temps will help figure out if you don't O regularly or have a long enough luteal phase, but clomid can help with both of those issues. Good luck!
As far as when an ectopic can rupture, most seem to report it between 5-8 weeks. It can depend on how large your tubes are, how fast the zygote is developing, and if there is blockage that caused it, etc. That is why it is important to follow pregnancy protocol for bloodwork and usually a sonogram between 5-6 weeks will confirm that it is implanted in the uterus where it should be. Hi pray FF does charge after your free trial. While on free trial now it kind of gives you colors on the days you are fertile and when you going to O but after your VIP trial is over it doesn't have those extra colors unless you pay. This is for the calender only I don't know about the rest of the info.
Angeleyes...I wonder if you should start a new topic regarding that question? I know since most of us just had our TRs...I personally would have no idea how long before rupture...but it's a great question and I'd like to see that question answered too. Maybe some ladies can share their experience...but the ones with the experience probably do not read our thread?
About temping/opk...Before TL, I didn't have good luck with either! I'm one of those who gets a 3 day surge and I can't tell if the lines are equal or what? And the temping thing was always frustrating for me and I don't always get up at the same time (then I worked nightshift)...now I don't work, so its more consistent. I just never had a good pattern before, but then again I found out from very lengthy cycles that I wasn't Oing regularly and only had about 6 chances a year to conceive instead of 12 and I couldn't even pinpoint those...so I took clomid and it did the trick first month.
Now, though...post TR...my first cycle was 25 days, last month it was 26 days. I am thinking my LP is short which isn't good. I am (against my own personal rules ) temping this cycle and using OPK to see what is going on. I need info on my cycle just in case I need to see my doctor and I want to be informed. That is why I am choosing to do both now. I used to think FF charged...but it seems to be free now? Maybe I'm on a trial? I don't know? Its pretty savvy though b/c I don't want to try to interpret all my numbers and they do it for me.

Thanks for adding me! Just out of curiosity, I did a HPT this morning, but I'm only 9 DPO, so of course if was neg. The tests say on the box that they can detect the HCG as early as 3 days before your missed AF, my problem is, I never know how many days it's going to be!!!
waiting- some of the ovulation predictors online, such as webmd, won't work for me, because they ask you to put in how many days your cycle is- and mine is so crazy! I get a message that says they cannot calculate based on the information I provided. My cycle is sometimes 30 days, and sometimes as much as 36. If you are blessed to have cycles that are like clock-work, then I can see how OPK and watching the calendar may be all you need, ...how lucky you are!
Meanwhile, it's all a big guessing game for me, so I temp every morning, check CM when I am close to O time, and also use the OPK.
I think we all have to get to know our bodies and pay attention to what we feel- intuition shouldn't be ignored, either!

I understand waitingandanxious....but many women don't get positives on OPKs. Some due to work or other reasons can't test in the late morning when it is best, and others have a small window of LH surge that they may miss it if they test only once a day. Also, you can get 1-3 days of positives or none at all, and even a positive predicts up to 2 days in advance, so that leaves a very large window and temps can narrow down almost to the exact day post-ovulation. Its not just my opinion, but a fact of life for many of us TTC for a while. The nurses probably say that because it is the easiest method and it works for alot of women. But if you are interested in knowing more about your cycle, BBTs are a great method. Also, after ovulation temps confirm that it occured and can detect things like luteal phase defect or progesterone issues if the temps don't stay up like they should. So......if you are finding that OPKs alone don't get the job done, temps can really help give an overall picture and more information than OPKs alone. That's all....Good luck TTC and I hope the OPKs are working for you.

Caroljean ok that is your opinion. But when the nurse came to see me the day after surgery she didn't mention to me about taking your temps for Ovulation. She mentions Dr. B recommends you use the OPK for a few mths while TTC. So that's why I said taking temps isn't that important. If you get a poitive on the OPK that is all that is needed.
