Michelle in the mountains of TN. It's an hour down and an hour up, 2 hours a day total on a bus.... They are gone about 9 hours 15 minutes a day. That is a LONG day for a kid, even the pre schoolers and kindergarteners do this, it's crazy!!! It seems ok from a work perspective, but they also get on average a week off a month, at random, so working is really hard when you never know when these random, rain or snow or meeting days are. We usually get a note that week. I don't know how people do it here, I guess they have family to watch them while they work. I don't so it's just not working for us here.
I can't wait to move, I don't know how these kids can stand it, well I know they can't. My kids hate it. They are used to 9:15 - 3:10 and I'm there getting them a short jump from home.
Yeah Christbride it is usually bedrest in your case, BUT if you can sit there with feet up and be taking it easy, it's the same. At least you are making some $$ right? Just relax at work and you'll be fine, it's better than being home alone, that is beyond boring when everyone is gone all day!!! For me I get too agitated by the laundry and cleaning staring me down. I can't sit, I'd be better off at work with feet up accomplishing something at least.

good morning everyone. michelle, yes that is what i wanted. but i don't think i am going to dot he tl again right now. seems to permanent for me. don't know if i am ready because i may change my mind about it later. i have my legs propped up at work. everyone i talk to about it say it is usually bedrest for the pregnancy. can't afford that. so i'll just be taking it extremely easy.
tia, you might be pooped because you are doing all of that exercising.

My kids have to be at the bus stop at 7:30.....thats early enough for me. Good luck on your move and your u/s! Christbride...I don't know much about placenta prev. but take it easy......so they think you are having a little girl? Wonderful...isn't that what you wanted? How are you feeling? Any better? Andrea...great news!!! Tia...everything else on my u/s looks perfect. The baby is so active....isn't it so crazy to see them moving around in there.....its awsome to feel it but to see it is really neat.

Christbride they will be watching me for placenta previa too, the US revealed yesterday as I thought, a lot of scar tissue on the upper part of my uterus. I get a good high powered one next week so they will be checking everything out. Make sure it's all ok in there for the rest of the surface area for the placenta. I know why I had my MC now. So there is no wondering anymore.
Oh Tia I have to get up every day at 5:45 to get the kids up for school... I cannot wait to move!!! School starts later up north. No more 2 hour bus rides for the kids, it will be better for all of us, more sleep!!! We are all doing good here I can't beleive it! Moving a long nicely it's very good to see. Some little bumps in the road but it's ok, we are getting bigger and more pregnant looking by the day
I had placenta previa with #3. It most often moves up and away from the cervix. They will likely keep monitoring it by u/s. Mine moved at about 25 weeks, I believe...as the uterus grows up and out, it pulls the placenta up with it. Of course, it doesn't always move, which means c-section for mom's at that point.
That was the pregnancy where I had my first c-section. My placenta moved up nicely, but my baby was laying transverse. Turns out that it was best to not do a version, as when she was born she had the cord around her neck 3X. One of those God's grace situations!
Rebecca,
Thanks for the well-wishes. I'm still in awe over this blessing-I'm sure I will be forever.
Well i went for my monthly visit today and doc sent me to ultrasound because the pains i have been having, wanted to make sure i wasn't dialating. Turns out i have placenta previa. don't know what that is but no bd'g for a while. dh wasn't too happy. the ultrasound tech did say that the baby looked like a girl because the legs were open and there was nothing showing in between, but i go for the official ultrasound on oct 20th also. i lost another 2 lbs. my sister is ready to go pink crazy and i hate pink. i have a closet full of clothes and dresser and i may have 1 or 2 pink things. she is the one who actually turned me against pink when she had a girl. oh, and i have my scheduled c-sec date of 3/17/09. they did not put me on bed rest. just said that if i get worse and start bleeding, come in right away.
I had my first u/s today, and we saw a sac and a yolk sac. My doc was very happy with that, and I have my first OB appt next Monday. I will likely have another u/s in a week or two for the fetal pole and h/b. My numbers on Friday increased to 1483 and my progesterone is 33.
