hi ladies! i hope you are all doing well. i had my 36 week check up today, i ended up being on the monitor for 30 min, sophie hasn't been very active for the past 2 days, but they said everything looks good she's just out of wiggle room. no dilating yet i've been having irregular contraction here and there for a few days now, but nothing serious. i'm hoping she will decide to make her debute before halloween so i can bring her home in a costume but i highly doubt that's going to happen. oh well, i've made it throught 36 weeks, what's a few more! i found out from my stepsister (she's only 13) that i'm having a "surprise" baby shower 10/25, i guess i wasn't supposed to know. oh well. i just can't believe it's almost over, i'm excited but also kind of sad. this is for sure going to be my last one, dh is getting a vasectomy in feb.

Traci - Yeah on Rowan's weight gain! I know you have to be very relieved.
Amy - How are you feeling this evening? Were you able to get out and walk? Keep us posted since it sounds like you will be our next to go.
Anita - I hear you and feel you on the number of contractions. That's pretty much how it has been for me for the last month or so. And I agree, its not complaining at all. While I am absolutely loving being pg, I think Amy hit the nail on the head with the statement, 'I want my body back'. If I didn't know that the longest I would have to wait is until next Thursday, I think I would probably go nuts. To any woman who goes over their due date without going completely mad, I am in awe of you!!
Its been a long 24 hours and I think I am physically and emotionally spent today.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. UGA has a football game tomorrow so that will be the focus of our Saturday around here.
Take care all and I hope we have an exciting weekend on here.

Amy, I completely understand. The BH contractions I've been having are killer. Some days I can't get up and walk around too much or they won't stop. My whole abdomen gets hard, and it hurts to move. I have terrible pressure in my bottom. Sometimes it's like I have to have a BM, others it's pain in the vaginal area. Sometimes they're so strong the upper back parts of my legs ache. My ribs hurt, my hips hurt, and my sides are sore. I know you have to be very uncomfortable, and I do not view it as complaining. I'm sure you're worn out from all you've been through.

Thanks ladies, Jen I am from West Virginia. The weather here has been perfect. Boetween 65-and 75. Just great knowing that fall is right around the corner. It makes you enjoy them days more.
Anita, A little while after I got up this morning I had some bloody show when I went to the bathroom. I hope its a good thing and not just from where they checked me. I guess we will see. I feel like such a complainer. I feel like I have been in labor for weeks and still no baby. I know I have a few more weeks but I have hard contractions every day. I just want my body back. I too enjoy the whole baby jumping thing. I love to feel him squirm around. I will miss that but I am still ready to have this baby. I wanted to cry last night when they told me they were sending me home.
Amy, I hope that last night was just a preview and you will have your little one anytime now. If you don't mind me asking, where are you from? Just wondering because of your post about the rain the other day. We had tons down here so just wondering if you were anywhere near GA.
Anita, Am I enjoying the pleasantries of late pregnancy, well....I am not sure enjoy is the right word. I absolutely love the roly poly act she does every night, but once she gets started she sets off contractions. and those I don't enjoy so much. :-)
Last night was pretty rough. I think it was a result of all of the running around that I did this week. Started having really good contractions at about 10:00. They started in my back and would wrap around my belly and feel like they were forcing the baby down. At their peak I was getting this weird pain down there and would have the sensation of my bladder being squeezed, if that makes sense. They were really irregular for about an hour and then at 11:00 they were every 9-10 minutes. I took 1 tylenol pm to see if it would help and I actaully did fall asleep for a bit. Around 4:00 am I woke up and they were about 6 miuntes apart. I timed them for about an hour and was just getting ready to wake DH up and they just stopped. Completely stopped. Good thing is it let me get 5 hours of sleep after that because the boys didn't wake me up this morning when they left for school. Now though, I feel like I have run a marathon. LOL!! My old body hurts from my chest to my toes. My legs are especially sore. So, I have decided to go soak in the tub with a magazine for awhile and then prop up in bed iwht a book for the rest of the day. I think my body is sending me the 'enough is enough' message and I am hearing it loud and clear. I felt really stupid last night though because you would think at 35 I would know if something felt 'normal' or not. But when I really think about it, the last time I had contractions that made me dialate at all was when I had just turned 18 and they gave me sooo much pain medication that I have no real memory of what it actually felt like. Anyhow, now I am just rambling and I hear my tub calling my name.

Oh, Amy, I'm sure you're disappointed. Hopefully you'll be able to get through the early labor at home, and when you get to the hospital, it will be quick and easy. Said a little prayer for you.

I'm back... still with baby in tow. I got there and my contractions were 4-5 minutes apart. I was in pain but I could still get through each one. I am dialated almost 2 and 60% effaced. When they started to exam me the dr said there was a lot of mucus he took out. SO i am hoping that was my mucus plug. I guess only time will tell. I am going to walk, walk, walk today.
Sorry I haven't checked in all week. Been sooo busy trying to get all of the last minute things done and by the time I get back to the house I am exhausted and just fall asleep before I am able to get online. We are less than a week away from my little one being here and I CANNOT wait!!! I have made it to 37 weeks 4 days today. I haven't been this pregnant for almost 18 years! Had both of my last two before 37 weeks and my first came at 38 weeks exactly. So it will be very cool to carry her until next Thursday.
Take care everyone and can't wait to see more pics of our fall babies!!!
